On break from a recent production in San Francisco, Jake had the opportunity to pursue his academic research at a facility on Pier 45. With a chili cheese dog in one hand and a sampling of Canadian coins in the other, he tapped into an antique video portal that would provide key insights on a subject close to his heart. These explorations and learnings will soon manifest into an unprompted diatribe about his findings. These "bursts" of information can be informative, intoxicating, and completely unwanted. Throwback to that time 19 years ago when we collaborated with Eric Jordan and his team at 2Advanced Studios on a commercial shoot for BSN's No Xplode pre-workout supplement. One of the athletes was Paul "Triple H" Levesque. Wrestler. Athlete. Showman. Actor. Great dude. And now Chief Content Officer at WWE. The tools have changed, but the process remains about the same (just 10X faster).

New digs alert! In case you haven't experienced Merit/Andrew in 2024 IRL, we have things dialed in on the Lido Peninsula. Since 2020, we've had a "work from anywhere" setup---and we still do. But over time we all realized that having a rad home base to collaborate was important to us and to some of our clients. Voila. There's just something wonderful in the air here in Newport Beach and we haven't missed that big studio space in Irvine. Question. We used to host annual open houses that brought awesome people together from LA/OC/San Diego. It was a great way to connect with old friends and to meet to ones. We're thinking about bringing them back. What do you think?

The last leg of our global venture ended at Tuxedo LA, filming the final scenes for "the ultimate airline passenger experience." We designed/built a high-concept aircraft interior and employed the Kira motion control arm to allow us to seamlessly match cut between passengers. These scenes were purpose-built for a new brand film & global product launch. We're excited to share this upcoming work.

Chico, Chino, Dana Point, Denver, Dubai, Irvine, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Newport Beach, New York, Orlando, Osaka, Phoenix, Santa Clarita, Seattle, and Tustin. We clocked almost 30 shoot days in the first half of 2024. Live events, TV spots, brand films, product launches, DR spots, and corporate stories. Our annual company retreat is now in September where we will help to shape the rest of 2024 and 2025 from sunny Palm Springs, CA. Three days in the desert.
