Rain has made it to the area and will be coming in waves throughout the first part of the week.
This will bring with it warmer temps in general.
Long range model runs show multiple rain chances between now and Christmas, with generally warmer temps, especially as we get closer to Christmas Day.
Always a large probability of a change the further we get from now.
\\ PURSUIT - Sugar Hill Man Leads CCSO on Pursuit in Stolen Vehicle
Just after 11 PM on November 30th, 2024, units with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office became aware of a possible stolen vehicle passing the 47 MM on I 85 headed north. The vehicle, a newer white Honda Accord, was showing stolen in GCIC out of Gwinnett County.

\\ ARREST - Senoia Man Arrested for Child Exploitation
Just before 2 PM on November 25th, 2024, members of the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office arrived at a residence in the 1000 block of Johnson Rd in Senoia to serve an arrest warrant for one of the residents. That suspect was located and arrested.

\\ ARREST - CCSO Arrests 13 in Human Trafficking Operation
On November 13th, 2024, the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Unit, aided by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), conducted an operation aimed at combating Human Trafficking in the area.
The operation, which was executed at an unnamed local hotel, resulted in 13 arrests on charges that span from pandering and pimping to prostitution and drug charges. One victim of Human Trafficking was located during the operation according to authorities and was placed in a safe home to receive further assistance.

\\ On a Lighter Note
During a fire a while back this gem of a statement came over the fire tac channel.
An individual who had been attempting to fight a fire with a garden hose while Coweta County Fire Rescue was responding was apparently extremely focused and hadn't realized that they'd arrived with much bigger hoses.
For the safety of the individual and to make sure they didn't get in the way of the fire crews, the incident commander requested someone ask him to move away from the fire.
Kudo's to the person with the fire hose, they did what they could with what they had and that's to be commended.
Also I found out Adobe Creative comes with a voice-to-animated video auto-creation tool and you know I had to play with that.
A viral post that describes a scenario in which a school shooting occurred during a fire drill has made its way around the country and has been confirmed by multiple agencies across the country to be a hoax. More info at: https://ncst.ink/firedrill-hoax
\\ Spalding - Griffin Shooting
Getting multiple reports that there's been a shooting at or in the Courthouse in Griffin.
NO ACTIVE SHOOTER.

UPDATE: (120PM) Reports stating the shooting occurred in the area of Solomon and 6th in Downtown. Two individuals, known to each other have been shot. One has passed away at the scene and the other is being treated at a local hospital.
UPDATE: (1225PM) The City of Griffin Police Department has confirmed there was a shooting in Downtown Griffin, across from the Spalding County courthouse. At this time, there is no active threat. We advise the community to stay out of the area. When available, we will update with more information.

Best I can tell at the moment LEO has advised people around the location that there is NO ACTIVE SHOOTER.
