Background: a resolution is one of the few things a city council can adopt that signals to other politicians that they feel a certain way about something.

Ali Muhammad, son of Imam Salahuddin Muhammad, and a group of friends and allies took a resolution calling for a ceasefire and curtailed it to reflect the city of Newburgh. We’re asking the city of Newburgh to adopt this resolution before November 27th, 2023. We are asking folks to sign the petition calling for the city of Newburgh to adopt the resolution so they can see how many people in our community stand for it.

This is a straightforward action for us Muslims to participate in.

The City of Newburgh government can vow to combat antisemitism, Islamophobia, and ethnonationalism in all its forms by demonstrating that the City of Newburgh advocates for the dignity and safety of residents in every community, regardless of what crimes its leadership may commit and that peaceful diplomacy is the only way to achieve this safety and dignity. **Casting Call: Habitat For Humanity of Newburgh Commercials**

Habitat For Humanity of Newburgh seeks immediate physical and voice actors for our upcoming commercial campaign. These roles are paid, and while the compensation may not be substantial, we are excited to offer creative individuals an opportunity to participate in a meaningful project that raises awareness about our mission.

**Location:** The commercials will be filmed in Newburgh.

**Important Information:**
- Prior acting experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Sides or scripts will be provided for auditions.
- Auditions will be held in Newburgh; remote submissions are also welcome.
- All actors must be available for filming on specified dates.

Join us for a peaceful march and rally in support of a Free Palestine!

🇵🇸 Organized by dedicated activists from Newburgh, this event is happening tomorrow, November 7th, on Election Day.

🕞 When: November 7th, 2023
⏰ Time: 3:30 PM (4:00 pm Step off) - 6 PM
📍 Location: 401 Washington Street (parking available), Newburgh, NY

Come together at 4:20 pm for inspiring speakers, powerful demands, heartfelt chants, and a moment of silence. We'll march back to our cars together at 5:45 pm.

🚸 We are looking for march marshals to ensure everyone's safety during the event. Your help is essential to guide the congregation safely.

Introducing one of the newest HUDSY Originals! Garin Baker: Painting A Life

In this HUDSY original created by Shawn Strong, we meet Hudson Valley’s Contemporary American Realist painter, artist, muralist, and educator Garin Baker who has a strong focus on working from life. From growing up in New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen to living in a 1790 colonial home with a renovated barn turned art studio and gallery.

Garin talks about history, painting, teaching, and his perspectives of life that are more than just layers of brushstrokes of purpose. An intentional and expressive piece of texture that realism is more than just what is on the canvas or the surface. It begins with a passion and then nurturing it with practice.
