Print carriage on your HP inkjet printer stuck? It could be a broken/split gear. In this case, it's cheaper to replace the gear than replace the whole printer.

Got to break out the soldering gear today :)
Customer dropped off not 1, but 2 Brother laser printers with damaged USB ports. I removed the old ports and soldered in new ones. Now they can print again!

Picked up a load of copiers today so I can place them with new customers. The smaller ones can be taken off the pedestals and placed on a counter/desktop for customers with limited floor space.

Anyone thinking of upgrading their Mac OS to Big Sur 11.0.1 May want to hold off if you’re printing to Canon copiers/printers. Canon USA doesn’t have drivers out for it yet and the old drivers may not print correctly.

I went to a customer today for that very reason. As a workaround, I went to the Canon UK website to get updated drivers so they could print. Hopefully Canon USA will have them soon as well.
