Welcome back to Los Angeles

Former Wallabies Stephen Hoiles has signed with Rugby Football Club Los Angeles as it's Director Rugby for the 2025 and 2026 Major League Rugby seasons.

The 42-year-old will take up the top job after two seasons with Australian Shute Shield club Randwick Rugby Club that included a drought-breaking championship in 2023, and coach of the year of honors in 2024.

I hope that Major League Rugby and the Major League Rugby Players Association are working together in the best interests of the players and the league. Hopefully, the league can also help to facilitate an ownership transfer in time for 2025

The Dallas Jackals have informed the league that they will not participate in the 2025 competition. They are continuing to evaluate a controlling interest transfer which will not be complete in time for them to plan for and compete in 2025. MLR will continue to work with Dallas leadership on transition plans in the days and weeks ahead.

Our focus is on the team, its players and planning for another successful MLR season in 2025. An announcement about the player dispersal process will be shared soon.

The 5 Anthem players are likely playing for Charlotte in the ARP. Not confirmed! All are D1A All-Americans. Ishma Eel Safodien is from South Africa, but could be US eligible in October 2025 based on World Rugby Regulation 8?
