Friends!

I am beyond excited to announce my newest book – IBS: Finding and Treating the Root Cause of Irritable Bowel Syndrome!

In conventional medicine, “IBS” is frequently used as a catch-all label, often accompanied by a prescription or two. But this diagnosis can miss the deeper issues at play, such as hidden imbalances and increased intestinal permeability.

Many people with Hashimoto’s also experience some level of intestinal permeability, which is a key (and often overlooked) trigger for autoimmunity. In fact, digestive symptoms associated with IBS often show up 5-15 years before an autoimmune diagnosis.

That’s exactly what happened to me. I was diagnosed with IBS in 2002, and got the Hashimoto’s diagnosis 7 years later. Between the two diagnoses, I started to develop more and more symptoms.

My path to healing Hashimoto’s was very much paved by healing my gut. Since my Hashimoto’s diagnosis over a decade ago, I have learned so much about what disrupts the gut barrier. This is why I decided to write a new book focused on gut health.

Symptoms I thought were “normal” (like bloating, cramping, urgency, and pain) turned out to have real, treatable root causes. In my new book, I share these many possible root causes and how to address them.

I wrote this book because I believe in root cause healing, and I want to help you learn how to uncover the true source of your symptoms and create a personalized healing plan to restore your gut and your life. This book has been over a decade in the making, and I’m so excited to share all I’ve learned!

IBS: Finding and Treating the Root Cause of Irritable Bowel Syndrome is now available for preorder! Comment IBSBOOK below and check your DMs on your mobile device, I’ll send you the page to learn more and reserve your copy.

Have you or anyone you know been diagnosed with IBS? What’s your experience been like?

“A renewed relationship with the living world restores us. It rejuvenates us. It satisfies one of our oldest and deepest desires to belong to the larger whole we inhabit. And in turn, it empowers us to actionable change.” - Christine Webb, Ph.D.

What does it mean to be human? The word “human” itself derives from the root word “humus,” meaning “earth.” To be human means to be of the earth, no apart from or better than any of the other beings with whom we share this planet.

THE ARROGANT APE by primatologist Christine Webb is out wherever books are sold.
