The UNIPX team is honored to collaborate once again with the Chinese Consulate General in New York to create the 2025 Year of the Snake Zodiac Window Display at the Empire State Building. As part of the festivities, the Empire State Building hosted a special Chinese New Year celebration and unveiling ceremony for the Year of the Snake display. This marks the 17th consecutive year that the Empire State Building’s lobby has featured creative installations inspired by the Chinese Zodiac, highlighting the rich cultural traditions of the Chinese New Year.
This year’s display is inspired by traditional Chinese paper-cutting art, showcasing golden snakes gracefully intertwined with auspicious symbols such as the ruyi (a traditional scepter symbolizing power and good fortune), longevity peaches, and gold ingots. Together, these vibrant elements convey heartfelt blessings of “happiness, prosperity, longevity, and joy,” beautifully capturing the spirit of the Chinese New Year through intricate cultural symbolism.
The 2025 Year of the Snake Special Exhibition will be open to the public from January 28, 2025, through February 26, 2025. Visitors are warmly invited to experience this extraordinary tribute to the Year of the Snake, blending cultural heritage with creative artistry in the heart of New York City.

The 2025 Prelude to the Spring Festival Gala at Gotham Hall, New York, was a spectacular celebration of culture and sustainability, hosted by China Media Group (CMG) in partnership with UNIPX GROUP.
The evening featured a video address from Shen Haixiong, Vice Minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China and President of CMG, and speeches from Xie Feng, Chinese Ambassador to the U.S.; Fu Cong, China's Permanent Representative to the UN; and Stephen Orlins, President of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations. UNESCO’s Assistant Director-General for Culture, Ernesto Ottone, also sent a congratulatory message recognizing the Spring Festival as an intangible cultural heritage. Distinguished guests included Chen Li, Chinese Consul General in New York, diplomats from Denmark, Greece, Pakistan, Egypt, the UAE, Nicaragua, Cuba, and the Maldives, as well as Maye Musk, Mandy Harvey, and NBA star Joe Johnson, who made his runway debut.
The evening featured mesmerizing performances, including The Young People’s Chorus of New York City performing The Song of Calling and A Rainbow Tomorrow, and The Exile Dance Team blending Traditional Ballet, Hiplet, and Ribbon Dance. Huangye Jazz Band energized the crowd with Golden Snake Dance and Happy New Year, while Mandy Harvey and hearing-impaired students delivered a moving performance of Try and Masterpiece using both music and sign language.
The night’s highlight was the Cultural Threads Collection F/W25, a CCTV x FICFF runway show merging traditional Chinese aesthetics with contemporary fashion.
