🎬✨ It's been nearly a week since we attended the SOLD-OUT inaugural event, Meet the Filmmaker – Fashion, Film & Photos for the Made in Huntington Film & TV Festival.
Attendees viewed a trailer from the documentary and asked questions of the panelists at the end of the moderated conversation. Afterwards, attendees purchased a personally autographed copy of Bozek’s latest book and an autographed reproduction of the book’s cover, designed by the book’s Art Director, Carol Dietz. Bozek remarked “I am honored to be a part of the inaugural Made In Huntington Film & TV Festival. I’m especially proud to include the launch of my first book with Rizzoli, called “The Battle of Versailles: The Fashion Showdown of 1973”. I believe in thinking local and acting global. This festival will be great for the Town that my family and I have called home for over twenty years.”

Emmy-winner and “Latino Boom” author, Chiqui Cartagena, is one of two recipients of the 2024 Rafael Eli Award Pioneer in Hispanic Television. Cartagena, the CUNY TV President, acknowledged her spouse, Jennifer Knight, and her mother in her acceptance remarks. Saralegui also credited media specialist, Gloria Constanza and Rafael Eli, then of AT&T, for helping him to achieve early success. Today, Saralegui is the founder and CEO of DangerTV.
Three awards were presented for Leadership in Hispanic Television. Sean Cunningham, the CEO of the Video Advertising Bureau (VAB) credited his team at the VAB for his success and the ongoing commitment to support the adverting community seeking to reach Hispanic viewers. Michael Roca, the Executive Director of Omnicom Media Group’s cross-cultural center of excellence had earlier credited his mother for inspiring him towards his chosen career. Isabel Rafferty Zavala , Founder and CEO of Canela Media was recognized for her efforts as a front runner and entrepreneur leading the way to the next growth areas in the business of television for Hispanic viewers.
