Just shared a new story on the Sustainability Pulse newsletter 🌿
I spent an afternoon with Camille Lescarbeau, a Canadian artist whose work with reclaimed materials, handmade paper, and inherited sewing kits quietly challenged everything I thought I knew about craft and care.

Her studio is a space where nothing is wasted, and everything, from thread to memory, finds its way back into something meaningful.

Took the train from Manhattan to Sunset Park to visit at her studio inside the and left feeling moved, inspired, and honestly… a little softer.

Camille works with reclaimed textiles, inherited sewing kits, and handmade paper to create pieces that are tender, thoughtful, and meant to return to the earth. Her practice is rooted in ecofeminism, care, and slowness, everything I want to see more of in the world.

We talked about imperfection, memory, materials that hold stories, and what it means to create without trying to last forever.

Not all that’s labeled ‘ethical’ truly is. 💔 A recent report revealed that so-called ‘ethical’ cotton is being picked by child laborers in India, with forced labor and debt bo***ge linked to major brands like Zara, H&M, Gap, and Amazon.

It’s a harsh reminder to dig deeper into supply chains and question the sustainability claims of big corporations.

Labels aren’t always what they seem.

The image beautifully illustrates the Laniakea Supercluster, an immense cosmic web of approximately 100,000 galaxies, including our Milky Way.
The red dot pinpoints our location within this vast expanse, reminding us of just how small yet significant we are in the grand tapestry of the universe.

With around 300 billion stars in our galaxy alone, it’s awe-inspiring to think of the infinite possibilities beyond our tiny cosmic corner.

A humbling view, isn’t it?
