Latest nutcracker rehab. Found this Zim’s Knight on eBay. In very good condition, with a moveable visor, even, but he was missing his lance. Time to fabricate a new one, without the benefit of an original, complete knight. Decided to shorten the lance’s length a bit from bona fide, and the hand guard proved to be a bit of a pain. Do you prefer the short or long versions? A few touched up paint dings later, here he stands. Voilà
My tentative title for him is Sir Merciphal, of the Compassionate Countenance. His motto is “make love, not just whoopee, and definitely not war!” Consequently , his lance is tipped with a rose, rather than a steel or poisoned tip.

I did a really dumb thing. I was in Germany in December and bought a nutcracker from Kathe Wolfhart in Nuremburg, and when I got home I realized that I already had this one. Actually I bought two that I already had but I am giving one to my niece. The other I would like to sell. He was 125 euros, plus shipping that was about 20 euros, total $150. He is still in the box. Kathe nutcrackers are really nice, good quality. And obviously this one is very pretty since I liked him so much I bought him twice!
Offers? I'm not going to let him go for much less than what I paid because he's just too nice, and I have another niece. It's the green one in the photo, although this one in the photo the one I bought in Bruges last summer. The one I'm selling is still in the box from Germany.
The red guy is my absolute favorite! I bought him in Bruges as well and accidentally bought him again in Germany. He's going to my 12 year old niece as her first hand-crafted German nutcracker. I'm starting her off!

I’ve been trying to change an area I bedazzled done with b600. Is there any way to get the rhinestones off?
Update: very cumbersome but necessary due to not being able to get the same color rhinestones. Acetone and alcohol didn’t help. I let goo gone sit for 15 minutes and proceeded to get the stones off with the sharp end of a box cutter. Took almost three hours but I’m glad I have a fresh canvas to continue!

Hi Everyone! 👋🏻 Help?!
I’m new on here and I’m hoping you’ll be able to help me. I bought two 15” Nutcrackers on Marketplace. Both of their swords are broken off. I have been scouring the internet to find replacements but to no avail. Help? Do you know of a website or person that sells replacement parts for nutcrackers?
One of the swords are black and the other gold.

I had to post, I know it’s after Christmas and yes, I still have my decorations inside up (try not to judge too hard 😂) but I finally got around to starting on one of two of the nutcrackers I scored before Thanksgiving after searching for 4 years. I’m kind of proud of myself in how it’s turning out so far. Thinking about decoupaging the legs and have posted pics of options, would love y’all’s opinion. Happy painting to my fellow off season painters out there. 🎄😂
