MARTYR ANNIVERSARY: Five years ago on this day in 2015, 21 Christians were murdered by ISIS on a beach in Libya. The victims, 20 Coptic Christians from Egypt and one Christian from Ghana, were hailed as martyrs and heroes back home. The video of their ex*****on captured some of them, in the final seconds of their earthly life, saying, “Jesus, help me.” They could have saved their lives by denying Christ and accepting Islam, but knowing what awaited them, they chose the way of Christ.

Please continue to pray for the families of the martyred men, and pray for Christians in North Africa who still face threats from Islamic extremists.

Only days after he accepted Christ, 15-year-old Seng was already facing the persecution Jesus often spoke about. After his parents learned of his decision, they sat down to talk with him, telling him he needed to renounce his "foreign" faith.

Why did Jesus die?

We were made to commune with God, disobedient to God (sin) interfered with Men communing with God. God not willing to permanently part with His image made a way to reinstate our communion through the death of Jesus Christ Who was sinless.

For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves, in Whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13-14

And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. 1 John 2:2

Jesus died for “the forgiveness of our sins.”

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Humanity was perishing because of sin and God because of a crazy love for His creations gave His sinless Son Jesus to die so men can reunite with Him (Hebrews 4:15.).

Men's problem is sin (separation from God).

Our sins, my and your sin is the reason Jesus died.
..O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! ...Romans 7:24-25

Everything else we enjoy as believers is the icing on the cake, but the forgiveness of sin, redemption is the cake.

See Romans 5:19, Romans 6:23, Ephesians 1:7, 1 John 2:2, Romans 5:12, Romans 5:21, Romans 7:18-23, Luke 4:18

Which one do you want?

As Christians, we can have peace amid turbulent circumstances.
..If it was not so, I would not tell you... said Jesus in John 14:2. While Jesus' statement concerning this declaration was that In His Father's house there are many mansions and He was going to prepare a place for those who have run to Him for refuge; Jesus told us another statement in John 16:33 that if it was not true, He would not tell it."I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

Fear not, for I Am with you; be not dismayed, for I Am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I Am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior...Isaiah 43:2-3

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

If it was not so Jesus/God wouldn't tell us that.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; Philippians 4:6

Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.1 Peter 5:7

Tune in as we discuss the peace of God!

Check out our latest podcast "Dream With God!"

(Imagine Job's loses and God still gave him a future)
..The eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. 2 Chronicles 16:9. See also Genesis 37, specifically, verses 5-11 an example of God revealing His heart to Joseph.

At what point do you stop dreaming?

For in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ Acts 17:28

Anyone who is among the living has hope --even a live dog is better off than a dead lion! Ecclesiastes 9:4. Also see Joshua 14, specifically, verses 6-14 to see Caleb's example of dreaming with God Still at 85 years old.

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12

What are the dreams planted by God in your heart? Has God changed His mind about people reaching out to Him via prayer so He can reveal His heart in their hearts? Is prayer still relevant in our lives? Is it optional or a lifeline?

See Nehemiah 1:5-11, Nehemiah 7:5-7, Nehemiah 2:12

It is not over!

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11.

Tune in and be encouraged to dream with God in this season of your life.
