We were blessed to have the Sweet Inspirations on Lonley Man’s Cry
I was the one who explained the song to Cissy and she on the spot figured the parts they would sing!They were backing Elvis at this time and it was great to have them on our LP! Cissy didn’t have an easy time especially after losing Whitney
Lots of people think that the music business is all sunshine and rainbows well it’s not! I was 19 when we recorded the Deceptive Lines LP in 1970

Happy heavenly Birthday to Junior Wells I was so lucky to have played with Buddy Guy and Junior Wells for a whole week in 1969! Junior was great even giving kids harmonica tips backstage hell I was only 18 and they didn’t even get mad when we polished off their booze lol
