Trucks from the UN World Food Programme (WFP) are crossing into Gaza with life-saving assistance, including wheat flour and ready-to-eat food parcels for people in desperate need.

WFP is working to provide daily food deliveries to support over a million people during the next three months.

The ceasefire is vital after months of suffering, but it’s just the start. Border crossings must stay open, and humanitarian teams need safe, unrestricted access to reach those in need.

The claim that efforts to create safer online spaces amount to censorship is inaccurate and dangerous.

“Unregulated information spaces allow people to be silenced and targeted, often the most vulnerable and marginalized,” – said UN Global Communications chief Melissa Fleming - UN.

Freedom of expression thrives when diverse voices are heard, not when hate or disinformation are amplified.

After more than 15 months of bombardments & suffering in Gaza, the ceasefire is a glimmer of hope. But for many families, there is nothing to return to but rubble.

The UN’s priority is to ease the tremendous suffering caused by this conflict.
