Visionarists is an award-winning production house based in New York City. A story well told inspires and entertains. At Visionarists our goal is to tell stories even better, whether it’s a TV commercial, a music video or a feature movie. Our team of talented individuals provides a superior work and helps our clients connect with their audiences in a more meaningful and memorable way. Over the past

eight years, we have collaborated with major brands such as Western Union, Comcast, U.S. Army, 9/11 Memorial Museum, Caesars. We deliver integrated production services including: award winning TV commercials, social/digital videos, photo-shoots, radio spots, etc. Typically, we oversee the entire process of production from concept creation, pre-production, shoot, post-production, to delivery of the final product, however this can all be adjusted depending on the collaboration scope.

We’re beyond proud of our amazing new all-female crew! 🎉

Whenever possible, we make it a priority to hire women. Why? Because, let’s face it — there’s still a significant gap when it comes to representation and expectations for women in leadership roles. Did you know that as of 2023, only 11.8% of executive positions in the U.S. are held by women (S&P Global Market Intelligence)? Shocking, right?

Studies also reveal that companies led by female CEOs tend to perform better financially. For example, organizations with women in top management positions are found to have 15% higher profitability compared to those without (Working Capital Review).

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is always a thrilling and dynamic event. This year, we were inspired by incredible campaigns, but some stood out more than others. Here are the highlights!👇

1️⃣ The most standout campaign was CeraVe’s ‘Michael CeraVe.’ This campaign took audiences on a journey from “CeraVe, developed by Michael Cera” to “CeraVe, developed with dermatologists.” By creating a clever conspiracy, starting with a Reddit rumor, followed by bonkers PR teasers, and leveraging the Super Bowl stage, CeraVe captured the public’s imagination and achieved phenomenal results.

2️⃣ Another one was Heineken’s ‘Gaming Fridge.’ Heineken tapped into the gaming community by addressing a key issue: overheating. The result? The Gaming Fridge became a sensation, impacting over 340 million gamers worldwide and earning over $25 million in media coverage. This innovative campaign not only connected Heineken with Gen Z gamers but also showcased the brand’s relevance in a fresh, exciting way.

3️⃣ The Met’s ‘Replica’ campaign also captivated us. This groundbreaking campaign brought art to the metaverse, allowing visitors to scan artworks at The Met and turn them into digital wearables for their Roblox avatars. The Replica app guided visitors on a scavenger hunt through the museum, scanning objects to unlock digital items. This immersive experience increased foot traffic to The Met and promoted art appreciation among a new generation, proving that cultural institutions can thrive in the digital age.

Gen Z is changing the way we think about marketing. 🤓

According to this recent article from Vogue Business, research from US youth culture agency Archrival and industry experts explain how Gen Z is rewriting the old-fashioned consumer path to purchase.

Over the last few decades, marketers have been OBSESSED with a linear path to purchase, but Gen Z is breaking the mold. 🛠️

Archrival's research, involving qualitative and quantitative methods, reveals Gen Z's consumption journey as an infinite loop of inspiration, exploration, community, and loyalty.

Fascinating poll results from Gen Z include what makes a brand seem cool:

55% prefer exclusive content
55% value a brand sponsoring events they want to attend
52% are drawn to brands collaborating with artists, celebrities, or other brands
52% love limited-edition product drops
51% admire brands with an active social media comment section
45% appreciate brands that challenge social norms and taboos
39% look for brands with a presence on community chat forums like Discord and Reddit

For Gen Z, brand loyalty isn't just about making repeat purchases. Interestingly, their loyalty is more defined by the likelihood of telling friends about a brand or simply loving it—even without frequent purchases.

Loyalty programs and discounts still matter, but Gen Z craves benefits even if they're not yet customers. According to Ben Harms, Chief Growth Officer at Archrival, Gen Z expects brands to earn their loyalty continuously through innovative approaches.

Last week I attended the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council WBENC Conference in Denver, CO. This is my third conference thus far, and the first one where I actually did not have to work. The other two times, our company was selected to perform videography and photography services for the conference.

WBENC is a national organization with regional chapters that meet on a regular basis. I belong to the NY Metro regional chapter. WBENC is a very special club to me; it’s also the only official certifying body for Women-Owned businesses.

The supplier diversity network is its own unique ecosystem. Every year a number of corporations, like those of the Billion Dollar Roundtable, commit to spend millions of dollars on diversity owned businesses. The idea behind WBENC’s annual conference is to connect clients and suppliers, promoting women-owned businesses. The theme and collective call for action for this year’s conference was Amplify–with the intent to elevate . The WBENC conference accomplished that, bringing together almost 5000 attendees!

One of my favorite sessions was the Women of Influence by the USPAACC - WISE (Women Initiative for Strategic Empowerment), the largest non-profit representing Pan Asian Americans in business, sciences, the arts, sports, and education. Their mission is to be a business matchmaker and a gateway to corporate and government contracts in different markets. We learned about the importance of giving back and mentoring others to become fearless leaders. Not just in order to make the world a better place, but also to create thriving feedback loops in our own economies. The panelists Carolyn Joshua, Doris Li Yeh, Jenny Jing Zhu, Nina Patnala, Sheri Shipe, Sh*tal Daftari, Vivian Pham, MSW, Vivian Young, Susan Allen were amazing! They spoke about their immigration journeys and the risks they took to get where they are today–managing billion dollar companies. As a business owner and immigrant from Ukraine, their discussion struck a chord with me. I think about the experiences I’ve had and the company I’ve built with my team. WBENC really is the best space for women entrepreneurs and Fortune 500 companies to band together and share our experiences, stories and achievements–to be a force for good and a force for growth and connection.

The other session I liked most was about well being and self care by Kimberly McHugh and Stephanie Beveridge (Chevron). Their quote “you were born an original, do not die a copy” served as a clarion call and reminder to me for self-empowerment and resilience. After the war in Ukraine began, we made an effort to work with artists and creators back in Ukraine for digital assets, animation, and web design. This emerged from a sense of purpose ignited in us to channel our skills and resources towards fostering creativity and strength within our communities. I believe, it's essential to hold onto your origins while looking ahead to your aspirations.
