The Readymades compilation that I mixed and mastered has just been reissued by Liberation Hall, and it's getting some nice press-love. San Francisco's The Readymades were of course the brainchild of Jonathan Postal (also known for his amazing punk era photography) and amongst other things features some tracks that were produced by none other than the late Sandy Pearlman, which I've had the great honor of remixing. I've always loved Pearlman's work, especially with The Dream Syndicate (h/t Steve Wynn), not to mention Shakin' Street/Ross Friedman, who I wound up touring with as a guitar player years later, in 2019. So working on this was pretty special.

This Readymades reissue has been getting enough attention that the label has now decided to put out a compilation of Postal's "post" Readymades material, which I'm currently working on remixing, mastering, and even adding some additional guitars to. These tracks come from several of Jonathan's later bands, and include contributions from Johnny Rao, Kenny Aaronson, Lee Crystal (RIP), The B-Girls (h/t Cynthia Ross), Smashed Gladys' Bart Lewis, and also Ian North, who sadly just passed away a few days ago.
Anyway, it's nice to have some cool music to work on, especially now, and it's an honor to be in such esteemed company.
As Alan Merrill (❤) used to say, "more soon...always more".
