Protecting the band from all 15 watts of a at rehearsal yesterday. Double Duty tonight in Manhattan. First I’m participating in a benefit for Popa Chubby at That starts at 7pm and features Joe Bonamassa, Jimmy Vivino, Billy Hector, Christine Santelli, Mike Merritt, James Wormworth, me and a bunch of other talented stalwarts of our NYC blues community. Then heading over to to participate in a benefit for the Harris/Walz campaign. Lorraine Leckie put this together and the Demons hit at 10:30! Fun will be had, music will be made and money will be raised. I very pleased to lend a hand and share a thing that I love!❤️

Here’s how the acoustic guitar, pre-amp shoot out landed; in the smallest pedal board ever. More interestingly - 2 pedals are fixed to a Butternut plank. I cut that tree down many years ago and made a bunch of planks when the chain saw chain was very sharp. Here it’s for use with acoustic music, so you know, the Butternut helps give that “woody” sound! And might I add, forget Velcro my friends, 3M Dual Lock!

Starting this Friday in Traverse City at Common Good Bakery - 8th St. then WNMC Farmhouse Concert Series and on to Ore Dock Brewing Co. and Nahma Inn + plus a couple of House Concerts (which will be fun). There's something for everybody on this 7 show run! Reservations for Common Good on Saturday are recommended and tickets for the Farmhouse Concert Series are at www.purplepass.com/hughpool

In The New York Times, Jon Parelas wrote - "Hugh Pool's songs hark back to the 1960's rock that was steeped in the blues. His repertory extends from rolling-and-tumbling slide-guitar boogies to neo-psychedelic jams to reflective, down-home hymns that recall The Band." I intend to do that plus stuff I promise stuff you ain't never heard!

I'm fired up and hope you can make a show. If you can't but have friends and those friends might live in the great state of Michigan, please hip 'em to this. it takes a village!
Thank you Ran Schuman for the poster!
