Over the last month, I heard that women without children are useless and should have fewer rights. Post-menopausal women are only valuable to help raise children and women with no children should NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE TEACHERS.

Do these men know any women without children?

I'd be happy to show them the capabilities of this woman, who has no children by choice.

Today would have been my dad’s 76th birthday. He took me to the gym in 1989 for the first time. It was Jack LaLane in Sheepshead Bay. I have so many great memories.

I had the pleasure of meeting over 10 years ago through music.  From the first performance in a small venue in NYC, I was hooked.  Genesis is dynamic and captivating, the beats are fresh and the lyrics hit.  Genesis’ poetry books are on my shelf and her paintings hang in my home.

The message Genesis delivers of love and kindness for all humanity was never so clearly described to me through the movement Genesis created, People Not Things.   Many will assume the simple meaning of people over material items.   It is so much more.   I encourage everyone to check out this interview and follow Genesis as the journey continues......

Genesis continues to challenge me to be the best version of myself by showing me the best version of Genesis.

As we continue to celebrate the horn section for Black Music Month, we would be remiss if we didn't spotlight one of the first saxophone players to work with Stix Bones and the B.O.N.E. Squad, Richard D'Abreu, Jr.

Originally from Brooklyn, NY, and now based in Richmond, VA, Richard D’Abreu, Jr. is an accomplished saxophonist, pianist, and songwriter known for his unique blend of jazz and gospel, "Jazz in the Spirit." A graduate of Brown University and Berklee College of Music, Richard has over 20 years of experience as a musical director, bandleader, and performing artist. He has toured internationally and worked with legends like Max Roach, Natalie Cole, and Bishop TD Jakes.

Richard has composed or arranged over 350 pieces. His dedication to music education and performance continues to inspire and uplift communities.

Let's celebrate his contributions to Black music this month! 🎶👏
