On my way to Omar's Kitchen to play a little music tonight then heading out to Rhode Island.

I forgot to hit the record button ⏺️ last Saturday so I'm definitely recording at Island Saturdays this week. Come out early. I'm planning on kicking off the first hour of the night with 90s lover's rock (Penthouse, Digital B, Xterminator, Star Trail, Steely & Clevie etc...)

Later on you already know it's the latest and hottest dancehall, afrobeats, reggae & soca. All the new dancehall hits that people complain about never hearing at the parties they usually go to....yeah well.... we play that s**t! 😂

A lot of DJs nowadays spend more time shopping and doing photoshoots than they do investing time into learning the music and how to play it... and it shows. Now, I understand the hottest commodity in today's changing world is attention. Having the greatest skillset in the world is next to meaningless if you are unable to capture people's attention.... and having a great image is a critical tool in helping to garner that necessary attention. Here's the thing... Image cultivation should not come at the expense of craft development.

(...and don't even let me get started on the promoters with the "fashion this" and "luxury that" events. Great decor and well dressed people but bulls**t vibes. F**k you too! )

I'm old school and I'm ugly and I care more about the music and the quality of the juggling than anything else. This Saturday is my birthday event and I promise you it will be an iconic musical experience. For this event, the music has to be perfect and that's why I have my long time friend Max Glazer from the world famous Federation Sound from NYC in the building to rock out with me. We will be back and forth all night long providing you with a real exclusive musical experience.
