Our recent field trip to the oil & gas license area in Tasmania was successful. Terra holds economic interest in the license and also provides its STeP exploration services to the Australian company/license holder Terra Tasmania Resources Pty Ltd (TTR). Dmitry Vilbaum is the CEO of TTR.

In addition to the reconnaissance of potential drilling targets and surveying the famous Lonavale oil seep, we met with the officials at MRT and the Minister for Resources Sarah Courtney.

For the first time, all the Board members of TTR gathered in Tasmania.

Some R&R was a must - Tasmania is truly breathtaking.

Following our warm reception by TGS on June 5, which is the gas supply company of the south of Argentina, we also visited TGN (its northern counterpart). We believe the product is so innovative and interesting, that both TGS and TGN will ultimately incorporate it into their standard preventive maintenance plan.

We certainly did not fail to meet with PCR, our oldest customer in Argentina, Pan American Energy, Madalena Energy, with whom we have a pending proposal, and other companies in the oil and gas as well as mineral exploration spaces.

Today, June 5 2018, together with our partner Solvex SA represented by Ivan Werthein, we held a productive meeting with TGS (Transportadora Gas del Sur), one of the two largest gas transportation companies in Argentina. The discussion dealt with modern data mining techniques aimed at the processing of varying natural risk factors associated with the pipeline using artificial intelligence, such as Artificial Neural Networks. The wonderful innovation of this method is in extracting the “old-industry” risk factors, such as soil movements, soil aggressiveness, thermal conductivity, etc. from the satellite data and then using them in conjunction with novel predictive algorithms to better manage the pipeline integrity. Terra is unique in this approach, and we appreciate TGS’s interest.

This video presents a case study that integrates and compares the 3D-seismic interpretation and the drilling results with Terra's STeP prediction produced prior to the drilling. The study concludes STeP results are compatible with 3D-seismic when analyzing structure, while STeP is superior to 3D-seismic on the assessmenet of presence of HCs.
