Hailing from Southern California, CREMATORY STENCH formed in 2014 and released their self-titled debut EP two years later. Then a trio, the band's sound was a thrashing take on late '80s death metal, largely nodding to early Death and Pestilence. Now expanded to a quartet and having been a prolific force on the live front, CREMATORY STENCH's attack has but gotten nastier, gnarlier, and creepier. One could argue that with Grotesque Deformities, they have entered the very early '90s, owing as they do to the gutsf**k sounds coming from Sweden then. Either way, it's utterly hellish.
But, on evidence of this new second EP, CREMATORY STENCH are just getting started and will undoubtedly get darker and more disgusting. Jump on their bandwagon now and witness their Grotesque Deformities!

ECTOVOID - Internal Inversion (Full song)
Today, Blood Harvest Records and Helter Skelter Productions (distributed & marketed by Regain Records) set January 18th, 2019 as the international release date for a brand-new EP from Ectovoid titled Inner Death on 7" vinyl and cassette tape formats.
It's been a couple quiet years for Ectovoid since Blood Harvest released the band's critically acclaimed second album, Dark Abstraction, on vinyl LP format. They have indeed been restless, though, if the new three-song Inner Death is anything to go by: through and through, classic gutted 'n' gnarly death metal in the characteristic Ectovoid style, but now exhibiting something of a world-eating bestiality. Swift and savage, Inner Death precludes more tour dates for the band and is limited to 250 copies for the vinyl and 150 copies for the tape.
In the meantime, hear the new track "Internal Inversion" at Blood Harvest's Bandcamp, where both formats can be preordered.

Hailing from Rhode Island, WITCH KING have been a prolific force in the American black/death underground. Since 2008, this power-trio have been patiently perfect their craft over a slew of demos, an EP, and a split album with the considerable likes of Bestial Mockery, Obeisance, and Manticore. The WITCH KING aesthetic has been firm from the beginning, but with Voice of the Ossuary, they take it to the darkest and most disgusting depths.
Wasting no time whatsoever - no ceremony, no hope, no fun - WITCH KING blast into Voice of the Ossuary with primeval abandon. Theirs is an ancient sound, bucking nowadays trends, and returning to the foul recesses of classic blackgrind, informed by early Blood, Archgoat, Naked Whipper, and of course, the almighty Blasphemy. But whereas so much parallel "bestial metal" crams in non-sequitur riffs and transitions - or simply forgets them altogether, just plowing through one riff monochromatically - WITCH KING actually possess songwriting, and unfurl one flowing fountain of filth after another. These songs gnaw at your very being, but they remain in the subconscious long after play has commenced. And that's not to mention the pure physicality of Voice of the Ossuary: all muscle, no fat, total 3D crush.

One of the most promising hordes BLOOD HARVEST have come across in some time, MALIGNER are a deathrashing power-trio hailing from the label's hometown of Malmö, Sweden. To date, MALIGNER have a two-song digital promo released during the autumn of 2016 and then, a few months later, the five-song Demon EP, which BLOOD HARVEST release on cassette tape and digital formats. Bolstered by the attention afforded Demon, the trio truly come into their own on Attraction to Annihilation.
For a debut album, Attraction to Annihilation is as fully formed as they come. MALIGNER may be only entering their third year of existence, but the attention to craft and class across this eight-song firestorm is seriously the work of veterans - but, of course, ones not yet complacent with their ideas and especially execution. Right from the very first notes of opener "Oath-bound," MALIGNER explode with a dazzling array of fleet-footed 'n' finessed death metal in a most late '80s mold, back when actual songwriting mattered most and bands like Death, Sadus, and Dark Angel ruled the underground. Indeed, even nomenclature like "deathrash" didn't really exist; it was simply all METAL, just darker and more deathly than what the aboveground was proffering. But, MALIGNER are no mere retro retread: their compositional prowess is in a league of its own, and their attention to the finer details of aggression bespeaks a maturity that thankfully isn't neutering. In fact, the longer this 31-minute maelstrom rolls on, the more dizzying it becomes, possessing both body and spirit in a grand celebration of destruction and death.
