We’re proud to partner with Jobs for the Future to produce this video for #Horizons2024 — showcasing how alternate career pathways can break down barriers to opportunity and transform our workforce to become more accessible for all. 🌟

Our Favorite Holiday Film
Every iconic holiday party needs a fun prompt!
We asked our staff about their favorite holiday films, and they shared some amazing picks. And while the debate over whether Die Hard counts still continues, what’s your favorite holiday film?
Our PTV family is looking forward to taking a well-deserved break to spend quality time with loved ones and enjoy the holiday season. We've had a packed year full of exciting projects & we can't wait to see what's in store for 2025! ✨
TED — Climate Countdown with Cynthia Erivo
Currently holding space for this amazing performance by Cynthia Erivo now that Wicked is in theaters. 😍
Cynthia performed “What a Wonderful World" at TED's Climate Countdown Event, a global initiative to champion and accelerate solutions to the climate crisis, which we led the production on in 2020.
Our team developed this segment with Cynthia, as well as with over 20 other talks and performances for the event across nine different countries. Using remote crews with web-linked cameras, microphones, and smartphones, we coordinated a COVID-safe shoot that aligned with the event’s message of minimizing our carbon footprint.
We're grateful to have been part of such a meaningful event that brought together so many voices, including Cynthia’s, to address one of the most pressing matters of our time.
Clean air is still out of reach for many, even in the United States. New York City’s Washington Heights neighborhood is one such area significantly affected by poor air quality. This stems from a mix of infrastructure challenges and lack of green space.
Jayden, a Futures Ignite Youth Leader and NYC public school student, is working to create solutions for his community.
Our newest project with the Simons Foundation showcases Futures Ignite’s work, which empowers young people, like Jayden. Through this initiative, students address issues like racial justice, educational equity, and climate justice.
Futures Ignite envisions a world where every student achieves their full potential. By combining leadership training enrichment beyond traditional academics, and hands-on experience, the program equips students to succeed in their community and beyond. This approach drives lasting positive change in communities while developing the next generation of civic leaders.

People's TV on Thanksgiving
Okay, how do we get Bill Nye at our Thanksgiving?
We gathered some of our PTV staff members for a fun Thanksgiving Q&A before heading off for the holidays. From dream dinner guests to worst favorite holiday dishes, we asked our team to share their boldest thoughts about the holiday.
We’re wishing everyone in our PTV family and beyond a restful Thanksgiving! 🦃
In order to build a more sustainable future, we need talented individuals in Green Job sectors working to make it happen.
Opportunities in the environmental and sustainability sector can be challenging to access especially for communities with no pathway into the industry, who are already affected by environmental issues.
To open Jobs for the Future's session on Building an Equitable Green Collar Workforce for the Future at hashtag#JFFHorizons, we spotlighted BlackOak Collective and their co-founder Wes Gobar who are working to address both the disproportionate effects of environmental harm on marginalized communities and creating initiatives for people of color to access careers in the environmental sector.
Jobs for the Future (JFF) is a national nonprofit creating inclusive skills building, employment opportunities, and career pathways for underrepresented communities.

The stigma surrounding arrest and conviction records often leaves individuals with an indelible mark long after they’ve paid their debt to society, leaving many with "criminal" records that follow them for a significant portion of their lives. But we are not defined by those records.
Our recent project with The Clean Slate Initiative is challenging this stigma by reframing the idea of “records” in a positive light. We invited people with past arrests or convictions to share the personal records that truly define them—such as diplomas, family photos, heartfelt birthday cards, and letters—celebrating achievements and cherished memories.
Rather than dwelling on a dark past, these records highlight the experiences that shape and define us, serving as powerful reminders that every individual has a unique story worth celebrating.
These are their stories: For the record.
As an Equal Justice Works Fellow in 2020, Valencia Richardson worked to safeguard the right to vote in vulnerable counties after the consequential Shelby v. Holder SC decision. Now, she’s working with the same communities to confront the latest restrictive laws. She fought alongside one such organization, Greater Birmingham Ministries, as they confronted a law that would restrict their ability to help people cast absentee ballots.
We're proud to celebrate 10 years of partnership with EJW, highlighting the remarkable work of Valencia and other advocates who strive to ensure universal access to voting.
As the election is today, we’re reminded to not take our vote for granted and to work to break down barriers to build a more equitable and just democracy. 🗳️
