Our hearts are heavy today upon learning that Ady Barkan, a friend, hero, and inspiration to our team, has passed away.

We could have never predicted how much of an impact Ady would have on all of us at People's TV when we began filming Not Going Quietly, but he soon became one of the most important people to ever cross our paths. We are so grateful to him for entrusting our team to tell his story.

Ady was the embodiment of courage, a beacon of hope, and a testament to the power of the human spirit, and his legacy will carry through generations.

We will continue to honor Ady's memory, support his Be A Hero campaign, and share his story far and wide.

Thank you, Ady, for changing our lives and the lives of so many others. We hold the memory of your big heart and quick wit close to us. You will be deeply missed.

Nothing is more gratifying for the People's TV team than to see our work making a positive impact in real time.

Our own Adam Simon directed and produced, alongside EP Ryder Haske, a short film about an Equal Justice Works Fellowship for a restorative justice program that is healing families in West Virginia that have been impacted by substance abuse disorder. This film was screened last night at the Equal Justice Works' Scales of Justice dinner, raising money for future fellowships so that young lawyers can continue to fight for equal justice.

Congratulations to Equal Justice Works for successfully raising over 3.1 million + another 75K in live, text-to-give donations to sponsor another fellowship! And thank you for the 9 years of partnership in telling the stories of public interest law.

Our latest episode from this year’s Science Sandbox Stories of Impact series and some behind-the-scenes snapshots in the comments of STEM to the Future founder Jacob Adams, our LA crew 🌴 and these incredible kids we got to work with!

“We are creating a generation of kids who don't feel like they have to leave the neighborhood to have an impact.”

Jacob Adams founded STEM to the Future to stoke the passion of students who want to create change in the world by engaging them with STEAM topics. Through the program’s Theory + Practice program, students create and lead initiatives addressing systemic issues in their communities. Together, they develop a clear vision for the world they want and deserve, use STEAM methods taught to them by the program’s STEAM experts to bring that vision to life, and then bring their projects to community-based organizations in their area to implement them.

The Elizabeth Dole Foundation's Heroes & History Makers Celebration gala was incredible. Through our storytelling work with The Elizabeth Dole Foundation, we’ve learned how much dedication military and Veteran caregivers have to their families and community. Seeing EDF caregivers honored on the big screen was powerful and inspiring. We couldn't have been more proud to be a sponsor of the event and to see our films play live for the audience.

Check out the People's TV crew all dressed up 📸 🎩 👠 And wait... is that our co-founders Nicholas Bruckman and Ryder Haske chatting up Tom Hanks?!

Special shoutout to our long-time collaborator Austin Courtney. Thank you for empowering us to tell these important stories about military caregivers.

And lastly, congrats for winning the Caregiver Champion Award, Adam Driver!

We're so excited for this year's Heroes & History Makers Celebration gala!

Our six-year partnership with the Elizabeth Dole Foundation, helping them empower and support veteran and military caregivers by telling their stories, has been inspiring, and we're so proud to be among the sponsors of their event when hidden heroes take center stage. We can't wait to reconnect with Elizabeth Dole and the many caregiver fellows tonight. And cohosts Tom Hanks and Savannah Guthrie are the cherry on top!

See you at The Anthem tonight!

We had a great time connecting with so many like-minded people (and doing free headshots for 120 of them!) at the Bridge Conference! It was so inspiring to hear about the work of these dedicated nonprofit fundraisers and a pleasure to help make each of their personalities shine in their headshots 📸 🌟

Did you know we are just 6 months away from a total solar eclipse? 🤩 We didn’t until we partnered with the Simons Foundation on this new animation! 🌞🌑🌞

What connects Bloomington, Indiana, to Buffalo, New York? Or Austin, Texas, to Akron, Ohio? At a surface level, it may not be much. But for a few minutes on a Monday in spring, they’ll be connected by a celestial event that, for many, will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will pass through towns and cities home to more than 30 million Americans.

We helped translate this message into a handcrafted animation for the launch of Simons Foundation’s “In the Path of Totality” campaign. This video is part of an ongoing project for their organization and reflective of their commitment to helping ensure that the millions of people in the path of totality have an unforgettable experience.
