Hiking is my main hobby, something I truly love. So, on Saturday, I barely made it 100 meters into the forest when I heard someone shouting, "Help! Help!" I ran toward the voice, and that's when I saw her.

She was standing there on the forest trail, dressed in a pristine white wedding gown. It was such a surreal sight that I thought I might be hallucinating. I pulled out my phone to take a picture, just to have proof to show my friends and family later that this actually happened.

She ran up to me, tears streaming down her face.

“What happened?” I asked.

“YOU HAVE TO MARRY ME!” she said, sobbing.⬇️

MY HUSBAND CREATED A NEW SCHEDULE FOR ME TO 'BECOME A BETTER WIFE'

So, Jake and I had a pretty solid marriage for the first few years—until he started hanging out with this guy from work, Steve. Steve was this loudmouth from Jake's work, with no girlfriend, no wife, but he somehow knew everything about marriage. And Jake? He started listening. Suddenly, he's coming home with all these "tips" Steve gave him.

Then one day, Jake walks in with this stack of papers, grinning like he just cracked the code to life. He hands it to me, I look down and see the title: "Lisa's Weekly Routine for Becoming a Better Wife." My jaw just about hit the floor. Jake had actually gone ahead and written down a whole schedule for me, based on Steve’s "brilliant" ideas.

The list was INSANE. I'm supposed to wake up at 5 AM every day, make Jake breakfast, then head to the gym to "stay in shape." After that, I'm supposed to clean the house, do laundry, cook dinner, and make snacks for him and his friends when they come over. I was beyond mad, but I didn't let it show. Instead, I smiled and said, "Sure, babe, I'll get right on it."

Little did he know, I was already plotting my payback.⬇️

MY DAUGHTER MADE A CHRISTMAS STOCKING FOR "DAD’S FRIEND” I'D NEVER HEARD OF

While decorating for Christmas, my daughter Emma hung an extra stocking. It was red with glittery letters spelling "Lesley."

"Emma, who's Lesley?" I asked, trying to stay calm.

Her face lit up. "Dad’s friend! She comes to your bedroom when you're at work. I like her!"

My stomach dropped. "She comes to my bedroom?"

"Uh-huh," Emma said casually. "She's coming again the day after Christmas. I heard Dad telling her."

The day after Christmas was when I had a business trip, and Mark knew it. My mind spiraled. Who was Lesley? Was Mark cheating? That night, I barely slept and came up with a plan.

On the morning of my work trip, I kissed Mark and Emma goodbye, pretended to leave, and parked down the street. Hours later, a young woman walked right into my house.

I SUSPECTED A "LOVING" COUPLE LOCKED THEMSELVES IN THE FITTING ROOM NEXT TO ME, BUT WHEN I HEARD THE WOMAN'S VOICE, I COULDN'T HELP BUT INTERVENE

So, just a regular day off for me. Dropped the kids at school, sent my husband off to work, and headed to the mall to pick up some winter clothes for me and the kids.

First stop was my in-laws' store. I shop there pretty often, and when I got to the mall entrance, I ran into my FIL, so we walked over together. He helped me find some stuff in my size, and I went to try it on in the fitting room.

Suddenly, I started hearing kissing sounds coming from the fitting room next to me. "Oh, young people these days…" I thought. But then, a woman's voice said, "I LOVE YOU!" loud and clear. And I knew that voice right away—IT WAS MY MIL!

I was completely stunned! I stepped out of my fitting room and opened their door, ready to confront her. But I NEARLY SWALLOWED MY TONGUE when I saw who she was in there with! ⬇️

I’ve tried talking to her, but she keeps brushing it off with, "Dad, it’s just school stuff!" I know when my kid’s lying, and this was definitely a lie. FIVE YEARS AFTER MY HUSBAND'S DEATH, MY 13-YEAR-OLD SON GAVE ME A CHRISTMAS GIFT AND SAID, "DAD ASKED ME TO GIVE THIS TO YOU TODAY."

My husband passed away from illness five years ago. That first year was the hardest — honestly, the worst time of my life. But I knew I had to keep going for our son.

So, somehow, I managed to push forward. Still, life has been a struggle. Even with two jobs, it's been tough keeping up with our bills and debts. And 5 years have passed quickly this way.

Then, this Christmas, our fifth one without him, I got my 13-year-old son a new phone. Not exactly the one he wanted, but he hugged me and said thank you. Then he handed me his gift — a back massager, "so you can relax after work." It was the sweetest thing he could've given me.

But then he said, "That's not all..." He handed me a worn gift box and said, "This is from Dad. Before he passed, he told me to give it to you on the fifth Christmas without him."

For Christmas, my kids and I spent a week at my parents' house, a cherished tradition.
