Since Jacqueline wanted to be Elsa from Frozen, we decided to become a royal family for the night. I may have thrown my costume together last minute, but we all had so much fun at her school parade and then trick or treating with some of her school friends. I moved to New York City in 2002. The World Trade Center site was of the first places I visited. It was somber and still graveyard for people not yet found. I cried.

I then spent 15 years watching it being rebuilt as I commuted to work nearby.

After 4 years of traveling full time, I just moved back to New York to start working in WTC on Monday. I will be working at the site where 3000 people died.

I will think about those people. Husbands, wives, sons, and daughters. New college graduates just starting their career and older people getting ready to retire. Firemen, police, and medical professionals. All people who wanted to go home to their families.

I love Southeast Asia. And Thailand in particular might be my favorite cuisine in the entire world.

But this post is about pizza in Thailand.

Some of the WORST pizza I have ever had has been in Asia. Now that shouldn’t be surprising, as this part of the world is not known for pizza.

Thailand has LOTS of bad pizza.

But Thailand also has good pizza. You just have to look for it.

Picture 2: Tuna on pizza can be found in many countries, not just Thailand. But it’s an acquired taste to say the least. And I have not acquired it.

Picture 4: Getting better! The crust was great but why so much cheese on a Neapolitan style?

Picture 5: The best pizza I had in Thailand. Sure the crust was a bit dense and it won’t make any “Best in the World” lists, but I enjoyed it and it proves you can find good pizza here.

Why am I talking about pizza in Thailand? I’ll explain in the first comment.

When Janice and I decided to go down to Tampa for the winter, we didn't know where to stay. But talking to local Realtor and YouTuber Adam Morejon had us convinced that Hyde Park was the best neighborhood for us. And it ended up being a great decision.

It is a family friendly area where we could take our daughter for walks along the water and then hang out at Hyde Park Village. But the best part might be all the great bars and restaurants along South Howard Ave, including one of the most famous steakhouses in the country.

Here’s a weird thing about me. I dislike being on the beach. I don’t like the direct sun or the sand getting in my sandals, between my toes, or in my swimsuit.

BUT…

I LOVE being near the beach. Watching the sun set over the ocean from a beach bar is one of my favorite places to be.

But for now, I closed my laptop for the day and came down onto the sand for this pic. I’m at my happy place right now on Koh Samui in Thailand. And yes, I’ll rinse my feet when I go back up to the beach bar.

Coffee, Beer, and Great Restaurants... These are some of the thing I loved about living in Tampa's Channelside neighborhood. Plus, I even had a gym in my building and used it! It's a great area for young professionals, but also Sparkman Wharf is a great place for families and kids to hang out
