Reminding ourselves that we still are GODDESSES ๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘ธ

Keep swiping right to see how much we have grown through the years. We take our daily life so granted when you have time with our family. I miss dressing up and creating contents with my sister ๐Ÿ‘ฏโ€โ™€๏ธ

Iโ€™ve been second-guessing whether to post a recap of 2024 because I have so much to write, and I donโ€™t know where to begin or end. It was a year full of blessings, countless memories, and self-growth, yet somehow, I lost myself.

The big โ€œdrumrollโ€ moment in this post is the realization that Iโ€™ve been so busy with work and prioritizing it above everything else, including myself. I know this might sound incredibly toxic, but itโ€™s been my reality for the past year. Trust me, admitting and reflecting on your mistakes and pinpointing toxic behaviors isnโ€™t easy.

The burnout I carried every day only grew heavier as time passed. The worst part? Realizing that many people in this city live the same way. Everyone seems to be caught in the rat race, chasing success as if itโ€™s the ultimate key to happiness. We climb the ladder no matter what it costs, thinking itโ€™s all worth it.

But life isnโ€™t always as glamorous as Instagram makes it seem. Those pictures that show you โ€œliving your best lifeโ€ might actually capture moments when youโ€™re barely holding everything together.

This post is a message to my future self: Whenever you doubt yourself, remember that youโ€™ve become so hyper-independent that youโ€™ve made it to a point where you are enough. Growing up in a brown household where you were often suppressed, your life motto was to become so independent that you wouldnโ€™t need anyone. If I ever meet the softer version of myself in the future, I want her to know that Iโ€™ve lived a hyper-independent life to the fullest. It wasnโ€™t as pleasing as I imagined it would be, but I achieved my childhood dream. But, it came at the cost of losing a part of myself.

A big shoutout to my husband for keeping me grounded throughout it all. He constantly reminded me that the life I was living wasnโ€™t who I truly am. He almost forced me to see that I had stopped being my vibrant, extra self. I had stopped living for myself and become a corporate slave. Itโ€™s so easy to lose yourself in this rat race that you donโ€™t even realize youโ€™re dedicating your life to work until it becomes your norm.

Thank you, husband, for always being there and reminding me to stay true to who I am.
