Black History Month Started in the Archdiocese with a Mass at St. Joseph & St. Boniface Church
On February 2, the Black Catholic community of the Archdiocese of New York celebrated Black History Month at Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Spring Valley, New York. More than 600 people attended the Mass, the first in a special series in honor of Black History Month, and also honored the National Day of Prayer for the African American and African Family.

Interfaith Leaders Come Together on Holocaust Remembrance Day for Newly Opened Anne Frank Exhibit
On Holocaust Remembrance Day, Father Ryan Muldoon, Director of the Office of Ecumenical and Interreligious Dialogue, discussed the importance of interfaith solidarity in times of trouble at the opening of an exhibition showing the realities of the Holocaust. The exhibition, developed by the Anne Frank House in partnership with the Center for Jewish History, seeks to educate visitors and help prevent history from repeating itself.
