Series 2 of “Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints” will premiere on Sunday, November 16 on FOX NATION. Episode 1 will feature Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, Nigeria, and the Archdiocese of New York.

Martin Scorsese hosts, narrates, and executive produces the docudrama series, which explores the lives of history’s most famous saints.

Ten seniors from Archbishop Stepinac High School and Monsignor Scanlan High School signed commitments to play college sports on November 13. The scholar athletes play basketball, baseball and lacrosse.

Stepinac hosted a 2025 National Signing Day ceremony to honor the Class of 2026.

“It starts off with our academics and the kids. It shows with the great colleges they get to goto. They do the work off the field and off the court as well as on it. We have a lot of talented kids, and we have great coaches. It's kind of a big family, we work for each other, we work together, and we make sure that the kids have the opportunities,” Stepinac Athletic Director Mike O’Donnell told The Good Newsroom.

Vince Lombardi, who was an offensive coach for the New York Giants and a head coach for the Green Bay Packers was a devout Catholic with deep roots in New York.

“God, family, and the Green Bay Packers. He had those priorities in order," former Giant and 1967 Packers fullback Chuck Mercein said. "His faith meant a lot to him."

A Hispanic ministry retreat, “Sanado para Servir” (Healing to Serve), will take place at St. Luke’s Church in the Bronx on November 15.

“This is our annual retreat in preparation for Advent," Father Jorge Cleto, the pastor of St. Luke’s, told The Good Newsroom. "We are doing this retreat together with the Emaús movement of the Archdiocese of New York. My hope is, and I ask the Holy Spirit, for this to help all servers to heal all their past wounds so that they can serve with total surrender to Christ.”

El retiro pastoral hispano “Sanado para servir” tendrá lugar en la Iglesia de San Lucas en el Bronx el 15 de noviembre.

“Este es nuestro retiro anual de preparación para el Adviento”, declaró el padre Jorge Cleto, párroco de la Iglesia de San Lucas, a Buenas Noticias. “Realizamos este retiro junto con el movimiento Emaús de la Arquidiócesis de Nueva York. Espero, y le pido al Espíritu Santo, que esto ayude a todos los servidores a sanar sus heridas del pasado para que puedan servir con total entrega a Cristo”.

Timothy Cardinal Dolan and Bishop Robert Barron who are members of the Religious Liberty Commission established by President Donald Trump, told OSV News that they want to make recommendations to safeguard religious freedom for Americans of all faiths.

"It's really a liberal issue, any defense of human rights is kind of classically considered a liberal issue, the rights of conscience," Cardinal Dolan said.

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops gathered in Baltimore for its Fall Plenary Assembly from November 11-13, during which time the bishops elected a president, vice president, and six new chairmen. They also released a statement on immigration and took votes on several matters.

The theme of the event is “Hagan Lo Que El Les Diga” (Do Whatever He Tells You).

El 15 de noviembre, se llevará a cabo en la Iglesia de San Lucas en el Bronx un retiro pastoral hispano titulado “Sanado para servir”. Habrá oradores, músicos y una Misa de clausura.
