Toyota’s Secret Mid-Engined Project 🇯🇵

[1-15-25 /// ] Toyota is secretly testing some mid-engined prototypes and this GR Yaris is one of them. These only aid in the rumors that the brand is working on a MR2 revival. This GR Yaris M Concept looks pretty normal outside, though in the trunk is an engine. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🏁 Spec Sheet: And it isn’t the same 1.6L 3 -cylinder found in the normal Yaris, no, Toyota has stuffed their all new 2.0L Turbo 4-cylinder out back, and engine so new it’s still under development. Power is a bit wild from it too, 395HP for road legal vehicles and 592HP in racing form…. This would make it one of the most powerful 4-cylinder engines in production.

So, does this aid into the rumors of a MR2 revival by 2026…. Likely. Toyota also showed off a host of other products like a GR Yaris aero kit, 24HR Nurburgring racer Yaris, Land Cruiser 300 Dakar racer, and more!.

MACH-E Outsells the Mustang 🇺🇸

[1-8-25 /// ] Since its introduction, the Mach-E has been controversial to some for using the Mustang name. But that has only proved successful for Ford as for 2024, the sporty EV SUV has outsold its combustion coupe sibling. The Mustang sold 44,003 units in 2024, the lowest in ages, while the Mach-E moved a whopping 51,745 units, a jump of 26.9% compared to 2023. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The Mach-E also outsold other Fords like the Ranger, Lightning and all of the Lincoln models. The Mach-E has benefited from strong OTA updates, early access to the Tesla Supercharger network, and a small refresh with the Rally trim and special editions. Ford’s few EV models overall in the US saw a 34.8% sales increase and hybrid sales up 40%, so things overall are looking pretty good for the Blue Oval.

-The new 7 speed DCT is a bit jerky in low speed situations.
-While fun, the new MINI OS has a learning curve and a MINI ID is required for many features.
-Exhausted note has been more muted for this gen in favor for Mini Sound Design interior audio (can be disabled thankfully)

8/10 - The new JCW Countryman is a bundle of fun, and if you love being different and distinctive, this is the car for you. It’s more refined and more practical than ever, though a Countryman S may be more than enough for the average consumer with a softer ride, slightly less power, and largely all the same fun!

BREAKING: Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid 🇯🇵

The brand, utilizing Toyota’s Hybrid batteries, will soon reveal the Forester Hybrid, but first, we have the 2026 Crosstrek Boxer-Hybird. On sale in Fall 2025, and with an estimated starting price in the low $30k range, the Crosstrek Hybrid may take the market by storm. So how does it work? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🏁 Spec Sheet: Subaru refused to give up their iconic Boxer engine and unique symmetrical AWD system so instead of simply taking Toyota’s entire hybrid powertrain, they only took the bits they need. Here we have a 2.5L Boxer Engine designed for series-parallel hybrid vehicles. This is paired with an eMotor and CVT and a 1.1kWh battery pack. While no MPG numbers are out, it will 100% be better than the pure gas 2.5L Crosstrek that gets 27MPG in the city, 33MPG highway, and 29MPG combined.

DEAD: Lexus RC 🇯🇵

[1-16-24 /// ] After 11 years, Lexus has decided to end the RC lineup with two final editions in Japan. Just 200 units of each will be made as production of the RX ends in November 2025. The first up is the RC Final edition with 19 inch wheels, red calipers, blacked out trim, and more like 9 shades of colors and a red and black interior theme. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🏁 Spec Sheet: Under the hood of the RCF is the iconic Lexus 5.0L V8 making 472HP and 395 lb-ft of torque (535 NM) paired to an 8 speed gearbox and sending power to the rear wheels.

The RC 350 continues to use the 3.5L V6, 2.0L gas or 2.5L Hybrid. 🏁

Since 2014, the RC has sold around 79k units across 62 countries while the RC F has sold 12k units across 57 countries. A replacement is under work.

It will soon become a production car in 2026 and will be made at the EV Hub Ohio. And no.. this is not a GM platform. The Acura RSX uses Honda’s own new EV architecture, battery, and motors. Designed at their studio in Los Angeles, the concept took a dynamic approach with a coupe like design, vented hood, light bars and more. Acura is now spelt out on the trunk along with a large diffuser, and a gorgeous semi-matte Moonlit White Pearl Paint. Much of this is reflected on the wrapped up production car we see here.

The LS has Outsold The A8 🇯🇵

[1-9-25 /// /// Images by: Audi / Lexus ] The big luxury sedan segment has seen an industry wide decline, though the Audi A8 is by far one of the poorest performers, even being outsold by the typical lower volume Lexus LS. Yep, in 2024, the Lexus LS outside the Audi A8 at 2,163 units vs the German’s 1,628 units. The LS saw a -3.2% decline compared to 2023 though the A8 saw a huge -28% decline. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The segment overall isn’t doing too hot, with the S-Class seeing a -25% decline to 8,809 units and the EQS seeing a whopping -52% decline to 6,963 units. The BMW 7 series (numbered bundled with i7) remains on top at 10,714 units sold in the US in 2024, a tiny -0.9% decrease from 2023. But what about the aging A8? Well it likely would be an EV when It comes though it could be close to 2028 until we see a next generation Audi big luxury sedan. The current A8 is said to be getting a third facelift to keep it refreshed.

Of course no price is revealed but it’s sure to be pricey.

2025 Toyota Prius: The Changes 🇯🇵

This gets you the base LE FWD trim with the XLE now coming in at $32,890 a the new Nightshade trim at $33k. Limited starts at $36k while AWD is a $1,400 option. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🏁 Spec The Powertrains remain the same with a 2.0L 4 cylinder hybrid making 194HP and 196HP on AWD models. The most efficient Prius remains the base LE FWD with 57MPG combined. The AWD Nightshade XLE is the worst at 49MPH combined. 🏁

Chrysler Returns: New Products Soon? ⚡️

The brand has seen an unfortunate 80% decline over the past two decades with only 1 model being sold…. The Pacifica. Sales last year sat around 124,683 units, impressive for just 1 model (and 300 sedan remains) but thats a far cry from the 600,000 units in 2005. But the rebirth (again) is set to start for 2026 with a heavily updated Pacifia, a new crossover, and an affordable version of the wild Halcyon concept. ⠀

The future of Chrysler design will stem from the Halcyon concept as well with a modern and sleek styling that isn’t overstayed. As for now, the new Pacifica will arrive with a new PHEV system and a future EV variant, though the gas V6 isn’t leaving. The new large crossover coming in 2026 will also be offered in hybrid and EV variants. Dealers already have been previewed on the models too and reported are very happy. So… does this mean Chrysler is back? Not just yet..

Genesis G80 BLACK 🇰🇷🤤

WRX STI Is Back… Not really

🌙 [1–10-25 /// ] The absence of a new Subaru WRX STI has not been the smartest decision on Subaru’s part and this new STI S210 for the Japanese market is not helping the case. Yes, just 500 units will be made though it’s Subaru’s Performance Transmission (high torque, performance CVT) that’s buyers only option. -8/10 The 2025 Camry offers a smooth and clean driving experience with well sorted body control, acceptable acceleration, and top notch fuel saving features. While not ground up new, Toyota worked their best to reimagine the Camry we’ve known since 2017.

Mustang GTD: Spirit of America 😱

[1-10-25 /// ] The Mustang GTD has yet to reach customer hands though we already have a special edition called the Spirit America; interestingly named for a car assembled in Canada. This is purely an appearance pack with a custom red and blue racing stripe along the length of the body over a Performance White paint. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🏁 Spec Sheet: Under the hood is not a typical 5.0L Coyote V8… no, instead we have a 5.2L V8 making over 800HP with a 7,500 RPM redline, titanium exhaust and active valves. It uses a rear transaxle with a 50-50 weight distribution. This is a 8 speed DCT units too with a carbon fiber driveshaft. 🏁

The GTD will be in production for 2 years and estimates around 1400 to be made starting at $325k.

BREAKING: Tesla Model Y “Juniper”🇺🇸

[1-10-25 /// ] Well FINALLY Tesla has revealed the refreshed Model Y dubbed Project Juniper 1 year after Model 3 Highland was launched. What’s new? Outside is a new Cybercab inspired design with a front and rear LED light bar and mildly revised bumpers. There are also new wheel options and paints like Glacier Blue. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

And I remain speechless a month later. From the multiple acceleration runs I tested, each time I could feel my lunch creeping up. The force is immense, as is the rate of speed the Sapphire can gather in just 2 seconds repeatedly without much if any preconditioning. Lucid also has unlocked true torque vectoring at the rear and oh do you feel it in the corners. Lucid Air Pure Launch Control!🇺🇸 ______________________________________ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ [7-16-24 /// #acnLucidMotors // Image by: @alllcarnews @jtecho ] After a wonderful trip up to Bear Mountain in a Grand Touring, and even getting behind the wheel of the Sapphire, I took the 2024 Lucid Air Pure RWD out for a spin. Impressed is an understatement, the Air Pure is a masterclass in refinement and an engineering obsession with efficiency to a degree Tesla can’t even match, The Pure has a record-low drag coefficient of just .197, destroying the EQS’s .20 and pretty much any other EVs on the mass market. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⚡️ @Alllcarnews Spec Sheet: The Air Pure comes well equipped for a “entry-level”model. Starting at just $69,900 as of my filming, the Pure is RWD only and packs 430HP and 410 miles of EPA range. It can gain 200miles of charge in just 17 minuets and can do 0-60MPH in under 4.5 seconds… Impressive right? (For 2025, range is up to 420miles with 5 miles / kWh efficiency) It also weighs just 4,536lbs, lighter than some new gas PHEV vehicles. ⚡️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But the incredible powertrain is just one of the charms of the Air Pure. It’s an experience that not only can you put a price one, but one you and your ears will never forget. As tested, this V is $152,295 and sports the Auburn/Black interior, the 20th anniversary V-Package, and that monster V8 under the hood. While the 6.2L monster (built by Courtney Hughes) largely steals the show, the immense luxury of the Escalade still shines (even before the facelift later this year) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🏁 @Alllcarnews TESTED Spec Sheet: -6.2L Supercharged V8 -2.65L Supercharger -682HP and 653 lb-ft of torque -10-Speed Auto -AWD -0-60 MPH: 4.3 seconds -Weight: 6,290lbs -13MPG Combined/11 City/16 Highway (ACN Observed) -24 Gallon Gas Tank - around 300 miles of range 🏁 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ HIGHS: + The exhaust noise, engine response, and burbles (somehow street legal) are truly out of this world, heck it would embarrass a F-Type R’s exhaust note. + The interior is a luxury condo experience with couch like seats, a smooth adaptive air suspension, and a very functional center refrigerator + Understated yet sleek looks will keep unwanted eyes off you and your raucous exhaust note. LOWS: - Interior tech needs some work (thankfully will be overhauled later in 2024) - The price is very very high for really just an engine option, but this is an irrational purchase so I doesn’t matter. (The exhaust and engine will sell It alone) - 36 Speaker AKG Audio could provide crisper and clearer audio with more adjustability. 9/10 This is a unique experience I’ll surely not forget. __________________________

The 2024 BMW i5 M60 is not an electric M5 nor is it trying to be. The M60 instead is an electric take on the M550i formula: Loads of power, loads of luxury, and loads of comfort all with a ristretto shot of athleticism. But is the 5 series formula any good as an EV? If you ignore the low range of the M60 and its rather high as tested price of $93,895, ($84k base) it is a fantastic machine. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @Alllcarnews Spec Sheet: -Dual motor xDrive -84.3kWh battery pack -593HP and 586 lb-ft of torque (605 lb-ft of torque in Boost mode) -0-60 MPH in 3.3 - 3.5 seconds -EPA Estimated 256 miles of range -10-80% in 30min -205kW charging speeds -Around 5,100lbs Highs: +Sharp handling, wild responsive throttle, impressive technology/ambient light integration and refined looks. +Impeccable build quality. +World class B&W 17 speaker surround sound system Lows: -The Black M Veganza Alcantara material feels good and visually looks unique though $3,000 extra for leather is a bit extreme. -Range is lower than average for the class and with the constant urge to hear Hanz Zimmer’s iconic sounds and use Boost mode, those electrons can deplete fast. -Even in the lowest setting, the seats felt a bit too high up for a BMW. (Likely due to battery under the floor) 8/10 The I5 M60 is a fun experience once acclimated to its technology, and (personally) it looks gorgeous.
