I started off in my own Grand Touring for the day, heading up from the Classic Car Club along the Manhattan skyline. One of my my highlights of the day? The driving experience of the Pure RWD. With a smaller battery pack and one less motor, the Pure has a playful nature around corners; the steering feels lighter and more direct, the rear naturally oversteers through corners, it’s a marvelous experience. Getting in that from the blisteringly quick and sharp Sapphire was a wake up call to see the incredible versatility and dynamic nature of Lucid’s chassis design.
Oh and we got a little preview of what’s to come.. and trust me, you’ll want to stay tuned very closely to Lucid. 😉 🤐

0-60MPH happens around 4.0-4.3 seconds though it gains 102lbs over a regular automatic Z at 3,704lbs. 🏁
The Z sees power increase to 420HP and 384 lb-ft of torque along with a new oil cooler paired ONLY to a 9-speed auto with a new aggressive shift mode. 🏁

And I remain speechless a month later. From a staggered tires setup, 20in center lock wheels, carbon ceramic brakes, stiffer springs, new dampers, retuned steering, custom Lucid designed traction control systems, and a new aero kit, the Sapphire is NOT just a straight line speed demon, it’s a cornering weapon too. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

To get the maximum punch, you simply slide it into Sapphire mode and accept a warning. From the multiple acceleration runs I tested, each time I could feel my lunch creeping up. The force is immense, as is the rate of speed the Sapphire can gather in just 2 seconds repeatedly without much if any preconditioning. Lucid also has unlocked true torque vectoring at the rear and oh do you feel it in the corners. All in all it would a dream to live with the Sapphire for a week to extract it’s potential, heck even whip it around a proper track.

Impressed is an understatement, the Air Pure is a masterclass in refinement and an engineering obsession with efficiency to a degree Tesla can’t even match, The Pure has a record-low drag coefficient of just .197, destroying the EQS’s .20 and pretty much any other EVs on the mass market. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⚡️ @Alllcarnews Spec Sheet: The Air Pure comes well equipped for a “entry-level”model. Starting at just $69,900 as of my filming, the Pure is RWD only and packs 430HP and 410 miles of EPA range. It can gain 200miles of charge in just 17 minuets and can do 0-60MPH in under 4.5 seconds… Impressive right? (For 2025, range is up to 420miles with 5 miles / kWh efficiency)
It also weighs just 4,536lbs, lighter than some new gas PHEV vehicles. ⚡️

It’s an experience that not only can you put a price one, but one you and your ears will never forget. As tested, this V is $152,295 and sports the Auburn/Black interior, the 20th anniversary V-Package, and that monster V8 under the hood. - The price is very very high for really just an engine option, but this is an irrational purchase so I doesn’t matter. (The exhaust and engine will sell It alone)
- 36 Speaker AKG Audio could provide crisper and clearer audio with more adjustability.
9/10 This is a unique experience I’ll surely not forget.

2024 BMW i5 M60 + @bowerswilkins ⚡️

The M60 instead is an electric take on the M550i formula: Loads of power, loads of luxury, and loads of comfort all with a ristretto shot of athleticism. But is the 5 series formula any good as an EV? If you ignore the low range of the M60 and its rather high as tested price of $93,895, ($84k base) it is a fantastic machine. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

-The Black M Veganza Alcantara material feels good and visually looks unique though $3,000 extra for leather is a bit extreme.
-Range is lower than average for the class and with the constant urge to hear Hanz Zimmer’s iconic sounds and use Boost mode, those electrons can deplete fast.
-Even in the lowest setting, the seats felt a bit too high up for a BMW. (Likely due to battery under the floor)

The I5 M60 is a fun experience once acclimated to its technology, and (personally) it looks gorgeous. Though that range needs to be improved for wider appreciation.
