Volunteer signup sheet link in bio!

We are seeking volunteers to help assemble this year’s From Chinatown, With Love calendar! This year the calendar provides much-needed mutual aid to 12 businesses that are within a 2-block radius of the Manhattan Detention Center construction site. ❤️‍🩹 We can’t wait to share more soon!

Volunteers will get a free calendar! Once you sign up we will email everyone with a google sheet that keeps track of scheduling. There’s limited space so in the event that volunteer slots fill up we will close the form and notify everyone.

*MASKS REQUIRED* We have masks available at the studio. Location: 20 jay street unit 217 2nd floor, in DUMBO

Volunteers will be tasked to do the following:
* Folding zines
* Cutting zines
* Tying knots
* Collating (putting pages in order)
* Hole-punching
* Packaging zines/calendar into cellophane slip

Time slots are listed in the forms. Each slot is 3 hours long, and we will prioritize people who can stay for the whole duration of the shift.

About From Chinatown, With Love:
Abrons Arts Center and the W.O.W. Project have come together to celebrate the Year of the Wood Dragon with the fifth edition of From Chinatown, With Love, a Lunar New Year calendar illustrated by Amanda Chung, Banyi Huang, Clae Lu, Jen Louie, Anson Lee, and Joy Freund. We are thrilled to be partnering with Lucky Risograph again this year to design, print, and co-host our public programming for this year’s iteration of From Chinatown, With Love.

”DIMENSIONS" is a collaborative project from Secret Riso Club. Through interviews with 10 artist publishers across the world, the group maps out the tangible and intangible dimensions of their practices and works to make the invisible aspects of independent publishing visible. How do independent publishers and artists spend their hours and days? What are the connections, resources, research, reflection, and administrative labor that shape and form the body of work?
