We live in Michigan, and just noticed that the ice on top of our pool cover is collapsed and the winter cover is ripped. We are pretty sure we have a leak. We are unsure of what to do or how to locate the leak. Any suggestions as to how to approach this problem?

I just moved into a single room, which is large enough to house me and my 3 year old son, but there's a TOILET in the BEDROOM. I obviously need to clean the room out, but what can I do about this god forsaken toilet?
My thought is I either need some way to cover up the toilet, maybe make it into a shelf of some sort, or make it into a potty station for my child. I am, however worried about that being incredibly unsanitary for obvious reasons. But who knows.

I had a (not so dull) tea party at the weekend to celebrate my 26th birthday, however we were so full we didn’t even touch the scones.
The next morning, we have a few people staying over, and we of course debate over whether the jam goes first or if the cream does. Me being Cornish, I insist on jam first, but everyone else (my English nephew, his Venezuelan wife, my Spanish boyfriend, and my Lebanese best friend) all have theirs cream first.
My boyfriend and I are now trying to eat these everyday for breakfast. I’d love to know what people actually prefer because I don’t think I’d enjoy mine with the cream first.
Also this is my first post so I don’t understand the size/banana thing; but if someone can clarify I’ll do it for future posts!

I had a novel and disturbing thought while meditating today: I think my husband is smarter than me, and that effects my self-esteem. I don’t always cede after discussing our viewpoints. But it’s somewhere in my subconscious. If single, a decision would be made after as much or little research as wanted, & move on.
I’m not saying he does thus malisciously, but he, like everyone, wants to sway others to his point of view. He is a lawyer, & plys his trade with environmental law publications. I’m no slouch, & am a retired nurse anesthesiologist, but am not as well spoken. I’m wondering if I try to pass the buck. Thoughts?

I have wanted a sweet autumn clematis forever but could never find one and online was always sold out. Ran to a favorite local nursery for more ornamental onions and as I turned to see what that sweet scent in the breeze was and there she was 😍 Onions went back and sweet autumn clematis came home. My husband passed away this month so I wasn't interested in gardening this year. He wasn't interested in gardening but he made sure people weren't snatching stuff. He was my guardian. But I went outside to clean up the weeds and what not. I found my strawberries growing like crazy. Chives growing and lilies too. I guess they knew I'd be outside eventually and just carried on. No matter what life goes on. Keep gardening.
