Guys, I need to vent about my sister Sophie. She’s been obsessed with copying me for as long as I can remember. No exaggeration.

When we were kids, it was cute—we'd dress alike. But as we got older, it got super creepy. She followed me to the same university, picked the same major, and even mirrored my love life. So, my husband and I decided to treat our three grandkids and their families to a week-long vacation. We rented three pretty sweet villas — all different, but all super nice. We covered the whole cost, no biggie.

Fast forward to dinner the first night. Our oldest granddaughter, Robin, who recently got married, asked to see our place. Cool, right? Nope.

The second she walked in, her jaw DROPPED, and immediately became furious:

This was a long flight I'll never forget. I had a window seat, a teen had the middle one, and his mom had the aisle.

He didn't sleep all night, watching a series. He was wearing headphones, but I heard everything. I asked him to make it quieter, he said, "Okay," but really, he ignored me.

In the morning, he reached in front of me multiple times to close the window shade. He never asked me; he just reached directly in front of me to close it. I would immediately reopen it.

EM: "My son wants to sleep, don't you see? Close it."
Me: "I want to read my book, don't you see? It stays open."

She arrogantly sniffed and called a flight attendant. And here began the MOST interesting part:

A RUDE SALESWOMAN REFUSED TO HELP ME BECAUSE OF MY CLOTHES — CAT GOT HER TONGUE THE NEXT WEEK.

I don't typically buy a lot of designer clothing, but last week, I saw a backpack on display in a store that caught my attention. I went inside (in a hoodie and ripped jeans).

I waited around for 10 minutes for someone to help me, but all the staff just looked at me arrogantly. I walked up to the saleswoman:

Me: "Could you please bring me a green one so I could take a closer look at it?"
Her: (looking at me from head to toe) "It's impossible unless you're planning on purchasing the item."

I had planned to buy it, but her attitude changed my mind.

A few days later, I went back into the store. The same lady was there, rolling her eyes after seeing me. But she IMMEDIATELY lit up when a man in a suit came in.

The loud squawking of the hens and chickens and the sight of the tall trees that surrounded the farm was a sight Joey knew he was bound to miss.

His backpack was packed and strapped to his back.

After taking one last look at the house he'd lived in with his mother after his father's death, Joey turned around and walked away without another glance.

13 years later, Joey returned to finally reconcile with his mother and tell her about everything that happened to him over the years. But not everything was as he'd imagined…

He was astounded and shocked to see the condition of the house.

Everywhere was deserted and hollow; it seemed like it had been that way for over a few years. The grass around it was overgrown, and the dust on the windows was a couple of inches thick. Getting out of his car and walking towards the front door, Joey could feel his panic swelling.

MY DIL WANTS ME TO SERVE HER FULL-TIME AFTER GIVING BIRTH BUT I AM NOT ALLOWED TO LIVE AT THEIR HOME.

My son married Addison, and they live two states over. In her culture, it is customary that after she gives birth she will not do any household chores. The family members will go over and do all those chores: cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc. She is not close to her family, so it was asked of me to come up for a few weeks and do this.

She is supposed to give birth in about a month, so I called her to learn the details:

Me: "Addison, hon, where am I going to sleep?"
Addison: (sounding really surprised) "You'll need to find a hotel."

This SHOCKED me since I helped them to buy this home. I was already going to do them a huge favor by being a live-in maid. Now I need to find and pay for the hotel on my own.

So, there's this saying that the people we love the most are the ones who hurt us the most. That definitely happened to me.

I'm a firefighter. Once, I rescued a guy from a burning building and ended up with a nasty burn on my face. My wife couldn't handle it and eventually left me. But the worst part? My daughter, whom I was raising alone, was so embarrassed by my appearance that she didn't want anyone to know I was her dad.

One day, she blurted out, "I don't want my friends to see what a MONSTER you are! That's why mom left! I don't want to lose my friends too!"

She was only 8 when I got burned, and I thought she'd come around. But as the years went by, she remained embarrassed and distant.

I OFFERED MY SIL MY SON'S OLD CLOTHES AND TOYS FOR HER NEWBORN, BUT SHE DEMANDED I GIVE HER THE EXPENSIVE STROLLER WE JUST BOUGHT.

So, I (32F) have a 2-year-old son, and my SIL (28F) just had a baby girl. Our house is full of baby stuff my son’s outgrown. I thought it’d be nice to pass some of these things to my SIL since everything’s still in great shape.

Last weekend, we were at a family gathering, and I casually mentioned I have a bunch of my son’s old clothes and toys if she wants them. She seems pretty excited, so I’m feeling good about it.

But then she says, “Actually, what we really need is a new stroller. The one you guys just bought is perfect. Can we have that instead?”

I was floored. We’d just bought that stroller a few months ago after saving up. It’s a high-end model, and we love it. Plus, we use it all the time.

I tried to explain that we couldn’t give it to her because we still needed it, but she kept pushing. “You guys can just buy another one. You both have good jobs. Why are you being so stingy?” she said, like she was entitled to it.

To avoid a scene, I told her we’d think about it and ended the convo there. Thought that was the end of it, but NOPE.

A few days later, she shows up unannounced, goes straight to the garage, finds the stroller, and starts putting her daughter in it. Before I could say anything, she was wheeling it around our driveway, inspecting it like it was already hers.

I CAME BACK FROM VACATION TO A STRANGER LIVING IN MY HOUSE – HE REFUSED TO LEAVE, SO I TOOK MATTERS INTO MY OWN HANDS.

I own a two-story house, and last week, I went to Hawaii with my kids for a week. Nobody was home, and we couldn't take our dogs, so I gave my keys to my sister to take care of them – feeding, water, and daily hour-long walks.

During that time, her friend needed a place to crash for a night and asked if he could stay at my place. I said sure, it was just one night, right?

WRONG. I got back yesterday, and this guy had moved into the UPPER FLOOR of my house for four days! I tell him to leave immediately, but he REFUSES, saying he needs another week because he's job hunting in LA.

I call the cops, but they tell me it's a CIVIL MATTER and I'd have to go through an eviction process.

“Sir, this is her seat. We can't change it,” the flight attendant said gently, trying to calm the irate businessman.

“That can't be true. These seats are too expensive, and she couldn’t possibly afford one! Look at her clothes!” Franklin exclaimed, pointing at the older woman, who looked down in shame.

Other passengers in business class turned to watch, some agreeing with Franklin. "Yeah, I think she should leave! Now!" another man said. The commotion was delaying the boarding process, and even after showing Franklin her boarding pass, several flight attendants tried to calm him down.

“It’s okay. If there’s another seat in economy, I’ll take it. I spent all my savings on this seat, but it would be better this way,” the elderly woman said softly, looking down in shame.
