Every conversation captured during the recording of my podcast Me, Myself & TBI provides new perspectives about the impact of brain injury. My guest Jarrett Irons held University of Michigan's career tackles record. He's a two-time team co-captain who could have followed in his father's footsteps. Gerald Irons played in the NFL for a decade --- a former linebacker for the Raiders and Browns. But in the years prior to his father's death Jarrett saw his father change in ways that made him worry about his own future and brain health. The latest episode of Me, Myself & TBI is available now. You can find it wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts.

Another new episode of Me, Myself & TBI is in the pipeline. I can't say thank you enough to my listeners who are patient with me as I work to bring you deeply personal conversations about the impact of brain injury. One of the sons of famed NFL linebacker, Gerald Irons, who played for the Raiders & the Browns, joins me to discuss the cognitive decline he witnessed in the years leading up to his father's passing. But Jarrett Irons didn't let grief and loss consume him, instead Jarrett is part of a growing team of people working to make football safer. I absolutely can't wait to share my conversation with you soon. Stay tuned!

The latest episode of Me, Myself & TBI is available now and this one is very special to me, in part, because I am a military veteran. My guest, neurologist and biomedical engineer Dr. Russell K. Gore, a former flight surgeon and U.S. Air Force veteran, talks about what he calls our nation's "silent sufferers." The men and women on the front lines of defense who complete mission after mission, but often risk physical and mental well-being. He is the Chief Medical Officer at Avalon Action Alliance, a national network of programs treating mild and complex traumatic brain injury, for first responders, active duty military service members, and veterans. The conversation is available wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts. https://share.transistor.fm/s/78831d97
