It was an indeed touching moment when Miss India Worldwide Guyana 2019 Second Runner Up Sharona Katriah Haniff was invited to her hometown mandir last Sunday. Contesting this pageant not only made her villagers proud but reassured the young ones that they too can achieve anything with a bit of determination and hard work. This was clear as their faces lit up as she walked through the doors of the very mandir that she was brought up in. The mandir in which she gained all the knowledge of her religion and culture.
As she stood infront the gathering one could not help but to wipe tears from their eyes as she began to speak of the hardship she went through as a young girl hut this didn't break her. She used these experiences to make something positive of herself and reassured the youths that mandir can take them to great heights just as it did for her.
Service ended with everyone storming her for pictures while congratulating her on becoming the new Clonbrook role model for the kids who had dreams of climbing to greater heights.
Continue to make us proud β€

Explanation of the Ramayana and Dharma
Wishing our bubbly Granny Nisa Narine a Happy Birthday with the Lord's richest blessings. We do hope you enjoy the day to the fullest.
This scene was taken from Ramlila- The Journey Through Generations where Granny (Played by Nisa Narine) explains to her Grand daughter (Played by Petrina Gordon) what is the Ramayana and she even throws in a little explanation on Dharma. In this play Petrina was an average teenager growing up with many questions flooding her mind about her religion even though she had a fair knowledge of narrations within the Ramayana and Bhagwat Gita. This is where her Granny stepped in and decided to provide the answer to all her questions while giving her some advise on how we all should lead our lives as Hindus. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Kumar Latchman for his valuable input in scripting this play. It is with his support we were able to acquire all the knowledge we needed to make this show a huge success.
