Dear Ms Turturro, DEC,

Many residents living on the Schwangunk Kill River would like to have a full report of the on-going actions of the DEC, EPA and what our assembly politicians are doing to stop this illegal polluting of our river by the town of Bloomingburg NY. You have sent several cookie-cutter letters, resulting in the same phrase, "The DEC can not comment on an ongoing investigation". This was quite some time ago and from what I have heard, Mayor Russel Wood has done very little to curb the continued pollution of Bloomingburg's problematic treatment plant.
Residents living on this river in several affected towns deserve an update with regular water testing reports. With this extreme heat, families are afraid to swim in this once pristine river polluted by irresponsible management of Bloomingburg's water treatment plant.
I will be posting this and your response on all social media outlets. Hope to hear from you immediately, if not sooner.
