We are thrilled to welcome to Bayonet! We have been fans of this artists for many years, from her first album ‘Along at Last’ to her 2021 record ‘Tell Me What You Miss The Most’. “Bed Song 1” has drenched our Sunday mornings & “But There’s Still The Moon” has closed out countless long days.

Out today is “Michigan”, a rolling and raucous folk song that never fails to lift our mood while grounding us in the present moment! It’s truly a special song.

“It is an ode to the midwest, every friend who has sat with me through grief on a nice day, the horses, the sky, and everyone I’ve lost. I wrote it in a rush on a beautiful afternoon (in Michigan) in October of 2022. Last spring, my dear friend  invited me to his home and studio in Los Angeles to record, alongside  on the drums. And last month, in a dizzy break between our two runs of  I convinced my loves  and  to make a video with me at Madi’s farm in southern Illinois. I am in awe of Syd’s vision behind a camcorder, and so grateful for Madison’s kinship with the lambs, chickens, and cows. The cover art was taken by me on a weekend trip to Michigan in 2019.” -
