The Rest Is Noise PH Manila-based music curator, events production, and online publication. Co-founder of AXEAN Festival.

The Rest Is Noise PH (TRIN) is a music curator, events production, and online publication based in Manila, Philippines. Since 2015, TRIN has curated and produced more than 30 shows: ranging from pocket venues to outdoor festival settings. It is home to the annual Summer Noise and All Of The Noise music festivals, which feature critically acclaimed homegrown and international music acts. These show

s highlight the rich and diverse backgrounds, cultures, and styles of music artists from home and abroad, championing both emerging and established music-makers. In 2020, TRIN launched a digital platform to cover music by Asian artists from anywhere in the world: publishing in-depth stories, profiles, features, and essays as well as curate regular playlists, country spotlight, and radio mixes. During the same year, TRIN co-founded the AXEAN Festival (formerly ASEAN Music Showcase Festival), a collaborative regional showcase festival that aims to put the spotlight on music artists and communities from Southeast Asia. TRIN takes pride in fostering a thriving sense of community, culture, and inclusivity—providing a platform that champions the best of Asian music and strengthening regional and global connections, onstage or in the digital space.

KIKI IN MANILA: A HALLOWEEN SPECIAL
EVENT CANCELLATION NOTICE

We deeply regret to inform everyone that our scheduled event on Sunday has been cancelled. We were very much looking forward to our first Halloween show to wrap up a special year, especially to hosting our friends from Parinam Music and KIKI on their first Manila show along with our great performers, crwn, PLAYERTWO, Munimuni, Chain Messages, and M1ss Jade So.

We hope to see you all soon in great health and sunnier weather!

For those who can, please consider supporting legitimate, local relief efforts. Keep your pets safe and help provide shelter to strays. Let’s look after each other during these times.

Full statement below:

We regret to inform that The Rest Is Noise’s scheduled Halloween event on Sunday, October 27, 2024 with special guest, Bangkok-based band KIKI, and several Filipino artists, has been cancelled. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.

Unfortunately, the severe impact of Typhoon Kristine (Trami) continues to persist in several regions, including Metro Manila. PAGASA’s latest bulletin issued at 5PM local time today (October 25) also warns of the typhoon “loop[ing] counterclockwise on Sunday and Monday.” Furthermore, a second tropical depression monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility has since developed into a tropical storm today. These weather conditions pose safety risks, ultimately leading us to decide to cancel the event.

The safety of our invited artists, our guests, and our team is our top priority. We will be reaching out via email and issuing refunds to all ticket buyers tomorrow, October 26, 2024. For any concerns, please email us at [email protected].

We’re back this weekend in Japan for this year’s edition of Music Lane in Okinawa. It’s the showcase festival we attended in 2020–just before the pandemic forced to shut down international borders.
