Garage sale-ing today. It feels so good to see my cherished possessions find new homes.

Today I got a phone call today from a listener and took a trip down memory lane. Things have changed so much since my first podcast in May of 2008! What's the same in your life? What's different now?

Stuff accumulates entirely too quickly. I'm in the process of shedding some serious junk and I'm wondering how it's possible to have this much stuff!

Took a look at the podcast page. It's been a while! I miss podcasting, may have to start up again.

I've been using Google Buzz since it came out, and really love it. Google Plus is its successor, and it's been working really well for me. I like that it is a combination social bookmark tool, group chat, and newsreader. Rather than trying to follow the most up to date email within a group you can click on the discussion thread to see what everyone has had to say. Check it out, let me know if you need an invite

The Google+ project aims to make sharing on the web more like sharing in real life. Check out Circles, Sparks, and Hangouts, just a few of the things we've been working on.

My mom used to always clean the house before we left for a vacation or even a long weekend away. Looks like she was putting these principles in play. I do the same, never really thought about why I did it, but it really does help.

Drowning under a mountain of paperAh, the joy of long holiday weekends. They re-energize, revitalize and send you back to work... feeling you like you've slept in late and got a term paper due at noon. The reasons for this are unclear--vacations are planned for, coworkers notified to pick up the sla

I have some pretty amazing people in my life. One of them (not quite sure who) called us Super Secret Awesome Sauce. I love that (& them!!) I'm going to try to blog every day this month as well as post links to their blogs all month long.

Sometimes it pays to procrastinate: I had two weeks of laundry that hadn't made it back into the dressers. I pulled out everything in the drawers and put the clean laundry away-If you wash it, they're wearing it-and then went through everything that was left. I've done this fairly regularly for years, but it's always surprising how much of the stuff left in drawers hardly gets worn.

Wrapping my mind around this today: "It is a profoundly erroneous truism that we should cultivate the habit of thinking of what we are doing," the philosopher A.N. Whitehead explained back in 1911. "The precise opposite is the case. Civilization advances by extending the number of operations we can perform without thinking about them."
