We are very proud to announce that Sear Sound has finally completed our quest to find the perfect upgrade to our Pro Tools rigs in Lynx Studio Technology, Inc.‘s new Aurora ( n ) converters! We have been running them since December, and have had nothing but rave reviews from clients.
We feel like we are finally getting to hear what these studios really sound like.
We couldn’t have found a better group of people to work with than the team at Lynx. Their dedication to their product is inspiring, and their enthusiasm is contagious. We can’t thank them enough for making us sound better!

Sear Sound Chief Engineer Chris Allen discusses why they upgraded to the Lynx Aurora(n) converter/interfaces and why transparency matters in the analog to di...

It is alway great to see something like this on one of our favorite artist's pages! Congrats Ben Williams!
Ben's "Coming of Age" was tracked in studio C by our Chris Allen.

If you look closely, there are actually four records in this one screen shot that were worked on at Sear by our engineering staff!

The Hot Sardines' self-titled record was tracked in studio C and mixed in studio A by our Teddy Tuthill.

Justin Kauflin's "Dedication" was mixed in studio A by Chris, with some of the record tracked in studio C.

And Ryan Keberle and Catharsis' "Into the Zone" was tracked in studio C by Chris.

And every single one of them were a lot of fun for us to be a part of!

We really do love these guys! Thank you AEA Ribbon Mics for spending a day with us! Send our love to Wes Dooley!

AEA Fix It In the Mic is back! This very special episode of AEA's Fix It In The Mic video series features a rare inside look at one of New York City's most legendary studios: Sear Sound. Chris Allen, the studio's chief engineer, invited us for a tour around the studio, talk some shop, and learn about his recording techniques in full detail. Enjoy!

2nd day as a page, and 90 people like us! well, we like you too. Anyone with stories about their experience here at Sear Sound, please, post!! If we all can agree on anything, the gear is great, the staff is amazing ;), but its the music and the stories involved in making that music that make us remember, and love what we do.
