MAN FINDS A SMASHED PHONE ON THE ROADSIDE — AFTER HE INSERTS THE SIM CARD INTO HIS OWN PHONE AND CALLS "DAUGHTER," HE RUSHES TO HELP.

This morning was like any other for 30-year-old Alan. He headed to the bakery to get fresh rolls for his mom. But as he walked down the street, an old, broken phone, battered like it had been run over by a car, caught his eye.

Alan, a programmer with a love for tech, picked it up, thinking he could maybe fix it later. He didn't think much of it and tucked it in his pocket. After breakfast, he inserted the SIM card into his own phone and, out of curiosity, dialed the only number saved: "Daughter."

"Mom!" the child’s voice said. "Is that you?"

Alan's heart skipped a beat. "I'm not your mom," he said, confused. "Who is this?"

The voice sounded disappointed but then replied, "Where's Mom?"

Alan, unsure what to do, stuttered, "I don't know. I found a broken phone, switched the SIM, and called. Who are you?"

The child, a little girl, seemed to get more upset. "My mom went to the store yesterday and didn't come back."

Alan's chest tightened. "What's your name? Where's your dad? Or your grandma?"

The child's voice cracked as she answered, "I'm Julie. I don't have a dad or a grandma. I only have my mom."

"Julie, do you know where you live?"

"Independence Street, building seven, apartment 18."

Alan's heart pounded. "Julie, can you tell me — are you okay? Is there anyone there with you?"

Julie's response hit him hard: "I'm alone. My legs don't work, so I can't go anywhere."

The confusion in Alan's mind deepened. "Wait, Julie, your legs don't work? How have you been getting around?"

"I use a wheelchair. But there's no one here to help me," Julie's voice trembled.

Alan's protective instincts kicked in.

"Julie, I need you to listen to me carefully. I'm coming to get you, okay?"

When Alan arrived at little Julie's address, the door opened, revealing a tiny, frail girl sitting in a wheelchair. She looked up at him with tired, wide eyes, her face full of sadness.

"Will you find my mom?" Julie asked softly with tears in her eyes.

Alan understood that the journey ahead would uncover truths he wasn't ready to face, but it was too late to turn back now. ⬇️

I HEARD A YOUNG WOMAN ON THE STREET SINGING THE SAME SONG MY DAUGHTER USED TO SING BEFORE SHE WENT MISSING 17 YEARS AGO, SO I WENT CLOSER.

I was walking home from work when I suddenly heard THAT song.

I stumbled in surprise — a young woman was singing.

Hearing those words, memories surged through my mind like a storm.

How does that girl know this song? It's not one you hear often. I slowly turned toward her.

My heart was racing. With legs that felt like they could barely move, I approached her and locked my gaze on her, while she, unaware of my presence, sang the song with her eyes closed and a smile on her face.

She had dark hair and delicate features.

Oh goodness, my daughter, Lily, used to smile just like that, and the dimple in her cheek was just like my wife Cynthia's. I thought that my daughter would probably look the same. She had disappeared 17 years ago at the age of five, but the pain of losing her never went away.

Then it hit me like a bolt of electricity. WHAT IF THIS IS MY DAUGHTER? I felt sweat trickling down my entire body. I shouldn't do anything I might regret later, I thought. Of course, the girl looks similar to Lily, but she might not be her, so don't start hoping in vain, I told myself.

The girl finished the song and thanked her small audience. Then her eyes met mine.⬇️

EVERYONE MOCKS A LITTLE GIRL FOR HER CHEAP DRESS AT A PARTY UNTIL A WHITE LIMOUSINE STOPS IN FRONT OF HER.

When Madison's husband died, their daughter, Trudy, who was eight at the time, had to grow up without a father. It wasn't easy for them; earning enough to eat was difficult, but Madison somehow managed to keep herself and her daughter afloat.

"We need to go to the store to pick out my dress for my classmate's birthday," Trudy said one day.

"Yes, yes, let's go," her mom replied, masking her worry with feigned excitement.

However, when Madison saw the price tags on the dresses, she realized the money she had wouldn't be enough. Determined, she went to a fabric store and bought a similar material.

I CAME HOME TO SEE MY FURNITURE OUT FOR GRABS — MY EX-HUSBAND'S PETTY REVENGE BACKFIRED SPECTACULARLY.

After my husband and I decided to split, it felt like he turned into a completely different person overnight. I couldn't handle the emotional rollercoaster, so I packed up and spent the weekend at my parents' place, trying to clear my head.

But as I pulled into my driveway Monday morning, I was baffled to see my furniture scattered all over the lawn with a big "FREE STUFF" sign out front.

I was the groom's childhood friend, and I was overjoyed to see him finally find happiness. His bride was walking down the aisle, and everything seemed like a fairytale: the stunning white dress, the long train, the flowers... But something felt off. Her walk seemed strange. It was as if she couldn't move comfortably.

SON COMES TO HIS OLD MOTHER FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 15 YEARS, FINDS ONLY RUINS OF HER HOUSE

Early that morning, Jason was on a plane to Cleveland, then he rented a car and drove to Oberlin. He was excited as he started driving down those familiar streets. He couldn't wait to see Rose and to tell her about her grandchildren.

But when he stopped in front of his childhood home, he was in for a horrific shock. Where the pretty house had once stood was just ruins. The roof was gone, torn off, and the contents of the rooms spilled out.

Jason ran to the house next door and rang the doorbell. "Please," he gasped. "Rose Warner, where is she?"

ENTITLED DELIVERY GUY TOOK MY FOOD BACK OVER $9 TIP — I TAUGHT HIM AN EPIC LESSON.

I’m 45, recovering from surgery, and to top it off, I caught a nasty cold. My wife was out of town, kids with friends, so I was home alone and was too exhausted to cook. I ordered a simple soup and sandwich from my favorite deli—nothing fancy. I left a decent $9 tip on a $30 order because, you know, even though I’m on disability and pinching pennies, I still try to do the right thing. I just asked the driver to leave it at the door because I didn’t want to risk spreading my cold.

About 20 minutes later, I got a notification: the food had arrived. I checked my doorbell camera to make sure everything was dropped off, and instead, I saw this guy walk up, take a quick glance at the tip, and mutter, "Nine bucks? Seriously? If you're that broke, don't order food." And then, this dude straight-up picked up my food and walked off, saying, “Guess this idiot can stay hungry.”

I was STUNNED. Sitting there, sick and post-surgery, watching my food get stolen because my $9 tip wasn't "enough." I was furious. But instead of losing it, I decided to teach him a lesson he wouldn’t forget.

On Valentine’s Day, my student Mark walked up, hands trembling. "I have a card for you," he said, placing it on my desk. "It even has your name on it!"

I smiled—until I read it. My heart stopped.

"TO THE FUNNIEST, SMARTEST BOY I KNOW. DON'T YOU DARE FORGET ME. YOURS, ANNIE."

I knew that card. Because I wrote it. Years ago, for my high school love, Jason—the one who got away. He moved to Europe with his parents, and despite our great love, we never spoke again.
