NYSCI Science & Inspiration Gala 2024 Intro
We had so much fun creating this video to help the New York Hall of Science celebrate its 60th anniversary at this year's gala, diving into incredible archival footage of the 1964 World’s Fair and matching it with new footage we filmed at the museum. By showcasing the roots of this iconic New York institution, we highlighted how NYSCI is building on its rich history to nurture all STEM learners today, and for generations to come.
Housing Affordability Breakthrough Challenge: Linking Health and Housing
Building trust is at the heart of our work. This summer, when Ms. Gertha was hesitant to be filmed, we set aside the cameras and took time to listen. We explained her options and respected her concerns. By focusing on her comfort and being transparent and empathetic, we built trust, and helped Enterprise Community Partners tell the story of the Health + Housing innovation through the voices of real residents whose lives are being changed for the better by their new homes at the Pearl.
At Really Useful Media, our message to clients is simple: You have a story the world needs to hear—let us help you tell it. Whether we’re livestreaming a one-day event or producing a year-long campaign, our goal is to advance the mission of impact-driven organizations through beautiful video storytelling.
Value: We are curious! We are always learning innovative ways to create and use video.
#ValueinAction: 🎥✨ We've been testing out ways to optimize filming content for multiple aspect ratios, ensuring your videos look amazing no matter how you share them!

📽️ Since 2012, we've partnered with New York Hall of Science to create videos that bring to life their core principles of design, make, play - like this 2023 gala video featuring honoree Ivan Tornos.
🚀✨ Excited to apply this storytelling approach to five new videos for NYSCI’s 2024 gala, celebrating their 60th anniversary and future innovations! #NYSCI #VideoStorytelling #innovation

National Book Foundation — Falling in Love with Reading
Value: We Collaborate.
#ValueinAction: For the 74th National Book Awards program video, fostering open dialogue with National Book Foundation helped us work together to identify the voices and community filming opportunities that truly reflected their mission and celebrated the intrinsic joy of reading. This collaborative process ensured the video's messaging resonated with audiences and supported #teambook's fundraising goals. The collaboration continues—We're in full swing on production for the 75th Anniversary of the #NBAwards, and it's shaping up to be an amazing milestone!

By merging the Foundation for Women & Girls with Blood Disorders' expertise with our motion graphics skills, we crafted this animated explainer video as part of their Period Talk Toolkit, to help patients and healthcare providers "speak the same language" about #menstruation and advance FWGBD's mission to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment of blood disorders. #FWGBD #MotionGraphics
Fighting Lung Cancer: Oswald's Immunotherapy Story
From the hashtag#archives: We loved working with Oswald and Cancer Research Institute back in 2019 to tell this hometown Brooklyn story of how hashtag#immunotherapy made him a "cancer thriver" and got him back to doing what he loves: dancing in Carnival in Trinidad. hashtag#caribbeanheritagemonth hashtag#cancerresearch hashtag#cancerimmunotherapy hashtag#videoproduction
Proud to team up with Enterprise Community Partners on this #Juneteenth video, showcasing how their partners advance racial equity through innovative solutions and collaborations. In 2022, we interviewed Natasha Edwards Pallan of the Center for NYC Neighborhoods for Enterprise's Housing Affordability Breakthrough Challenge, and we're honored to help tell her family's story and powerful message here! #RacialEquity #videoproduction #docfilms
