Carnegie (1888-1955) was an American writer and lecturer who is best known for his self-help book, "How to Win Friends and Influence People." Born in Missouri, Carnegie moved to New York City to pursue a career as a salesman and later as a public speaking instructor.
In 1912, he founded the Dale Carnegie Course, a training program designed to help people improve their public speaking and leadership skills. The success of the course led to the publication of his first book, "Public Speaking and Influencing Men in Business," in 1937.
Carnegie's most famous work, "How to Win Friends and Influence People," was published in 1936 and has sold over 30 million copies worldwide. The book provides practical advice on how to improve communication skills, build relationships, and become more influential in both personal and professional settings.
