Predictive analytics, AI, and machine learning will help many institutions get even more knowledgable about their customers in 2023. While standard personalization segments customers into targeted audiences, hyper-personalization can create content specific to individual customer geographies, search terms, and behavioral data to provide relevant information at the right touchpoints.

Done well, personalization can lead to a 10 percent lift in revenue for banks, according to Boston Consulting Group. McKinsey found that it can also decrease acquisition by 50 percent, and increase marketing efficiencies by 10 to 30 percent.

The Fabelmans–A surprisingly raw examination of director Steven Spielberg’s own childhood, tumultuous family life, and infatuation with moviemaking. Great performances across the board–Michelle Williams is exceptionally good.

Pearl–Ti West’s horror sequel to X is a coming-of-age nightmare about a psychopathic murderer’s tireless pursuit of acting stardom. A fantastic freakout with well-developed characters and amazing performances.

TÁR–Todd Field’s expansionist, playful and modern story about the downfall of world-famous (and fictional) conductor Lydia Tar is a riveting character study that plays like a planned demolition.

The Banshees of Inisherin–’s poignant and funny chamber drama about male friendship and the violent fallout that ensues when one side terminates it non-consensually.

In 2023, Gen Z will be the customer to appeal to with obvious, proven practices like social media, but also in more unlikely areas like financial services. Not only are these two topics individually on our radar, but as a pairing as well. Financial literacy media is being absorbed by Gen Z at a younger age than any other generation—take for instance “FinTok” and “StockTok” videos that can be found all over social media, but were uniquely coined by TikTokers!
