Summer Ventures in Innovation and Technology Summer Camp

Brooklyn-based technology and Innovation Summer Camp Seeking part-time technology teachers for 4-week session starting in August 2014
Job Overview:
Teach software application, web development and computer hardware concepts to Middle and High School aged children attending a Red Hook, Brooklyn, NY based summer camp using a prepared curriculum. The camp will run from August 4 -29, 2014.
Work with kids in computer lab and classroom setting
Ensure that children are proficient in basic web development, and have firm grasp of general application development concepts by the end of summer
Make development fun to summer camp participants
Be available to teach on a part-time basis weekly, 2 days per week for 4 weeks in August
Requirements
Minimum of two years’ full-time work experience in Information Technology IT
5+ years of programming/web development experience
Programming Certification preferred (but not required)
Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience working with children between 11 and 17 years of age
Should be proficient least two of the following:NET
JAVA
Ruby on Rails
WordPress
HTML5
Javascript
CSS
Perl
SQL
PC Computer repair and assembly
Basic robotic assembly and design
Responsibilities
Teach technology curriculum to summer campers

What you will be doing:
Do you have an eye for creative direction and constantly innovating? The role of the talented Senior Art Director will produce creative and strategic solutions with a fresh perspective. The Art Director is responsible for managing and coordinating creative from concept through disk release on at least one assigned project. This includes following up on all production aspects of any given project. Direct responsibilities include press runs, photography shoots, hiring of illustrators and negotiating fees pertaining to art production. Work closely with production to develop spec-sheets, supervise the pre-production and production phase by examining matchprints and blueline, and attending press checks.
Present creative to the client.
Provide solid direction for video or rip formats to video team under supervision.
Provide solid direction for interactive pieces to interactive team under supervision.

Cultivate a relationship with the client by attending and participating in client meetings
Serve as a resource for the account team and the client in solving creative problems
Accurately estimate all costs associated with individual projects to fall within budgets
Produce best creative solution within the estimated budget by having an awareness of end usage of that project
Manage allocated hours on projects (must keep track of all ART hours i.e., freelance, studio, any "art related person billing to that particular job number)
Alert Account Services if hours exceed estimated budget
Recognize problems and provide solutions in day-to-day creative development
Provide ideas and/or solutions to issues as they arise that may be outside the original scope of work (i.e., big ideas, interactive, or video solutions).
Ensure that the day-to-day expectations of the client are met by being prompt with deadlines (follow through with traffic and account services to meet client needs

Learn and adhere to client regulatory and approval processes

Know the competitor's current advertising strategies by reviewing journals and article summaries supplied by account services

Qualifications:

Education: College level or comparative education in Advertising / Design

Industry: Minimum of one year advertising agency experience
