JOKE OF THE DAY: Paul woke up with a huge hangover after attending his company’s Christmas party. He didn’t even remember how he got home from the party. As bad as he was feeling, he wondered if he had done something wrong.

He had to force himself to open his eyes, and the first thing he saw was a couple of aspirins next to a glass of water on the side table. Next to them, a single red rose! Paul sat up and saw his clothing in front of him, all clean and pressed. He looked around the room and saw that it was in perfect order, and spotlessly clean. So was the rest of the house.

He took the aspirins and cringed when he saw a huge black eye staring back at him in the bathroom mirror. Then he noticed a note taped to the mirror written in red with little hearts on it and a kiss mark from his wife in lipstick: “Honey, breakfast is on the stove. I left early to get groceries to make you your favorite dinner tonight. I love you, Darling!”

He stumbled to the kitchen and sure enough, there was hot breakfast, steaming hot coffee, and the morning newspaper. His son was also at the table, eating.

Paul asked, “Son, what happened last night?”

“Well, you came home after 3 a.m., drunk and out of your mind. You fell over the coffee table and broke it, and then you puked in the hallway and got that black eye when you ran into the door.”

Confused, he asked his son, “So, why is everything in such perfect order and so clean? I have a rose, and breakfast is on the table waiting for me.”⬇️

I HOUSED A FAMILY AFTER THEIR HOME BURNED DOWN BEFORE CHRISTMAS — THEY LEFT A LARGE RED BOX UNDER MY TREE

For Christmas, my kids and I spent a week at my parents' house, a cherished tradition. This year, I also offered our home to a family in need—a mother, father, and two young kids whose house had burned down just before Christmas. They were incredibly grateful, and with my family away, I was glad they'd have a safe, warm place to stay. I even made sure there were gifts under the tree for the kids and tried to make them feel at home.

But when we returned, the house was strangely quiet. Instead of the expected chaos of toys and clothes, everything seemed too calm. In the living room, beneath the tree, a red box caught my eye—large, wrapped in glossy paper with an intricate gold ribbon.

Curiosity and a strange unease took over. I bent down, untied the ribbon, and opened the box. My heart skipped a beat; for a moment, I was TRULY TERRIFIED. "OH, GOD!" I screamed. ⬇️

MAN FINDS A BABY BOY WRAPPED IN BLANKETS IN A BASKET ON HIS DOORSTEP

Lucas, 54, lived a quiet, solitary life, having lost his wife and without family nearby. One cold night, while warming himself by the fire, he heard a soft, insistent sound outside his door. He hesitated, then opened it to find a tiny baby, wrapped in blankets, crying in a basket on his doorstep.

Looking around in shock, he saw no one. His heart filled with an unexpected warmth, so he brought the baby inside. Naming him Matias, Lucas raised the boy as his own, finding purpose in the laughter and joy the boy brought. Over the years, their modest home was filled with love, and Lucas felt whole again.

But Lucas always feared the day when their peaceful life might be disrupted.

When Matias turned 17, a sleek red car pulled up to their house, a sight completely out of place in their neighborhood. Lucas watched, tense, as a man in an expensive suit stepped out and approached the door.

With his heart pounding, Lucas opened it.

The man's expression was firm as he introduced himself, "I'm Elijah. I've come to take Matias."

Lucas's world stopped.

My husband never gave me gifts, like, EVER! We were married for 28 years—I stuck by Viktor when he was just a laborer and later when he became rich. He spent tons of money on charity, and our kids got everything, but he never bought me a single thing. Not for Christmas, not for our anniversaries—nothing. For years, I pretended it didn’t bother me, but honestly, it hurt so much. Recently, I even started hinting that I’d been dreaming about this brooch for ages.

Then everything changed when Viktor came home from the doctor. He had stage 4 cancer.

At that moment, I forgot all about wanting gifts. None of that mattered—I just wanted Viktor to be okay. But the illness tore through him so fast, and before I knew it, he was gone.

I could barely leave the house. Just waking up each morning felt like torture, like there was this huge hole in my heart.

Yesterday, on our wedding anniversary, the doorbell rang. I went to the door, but no one was there. Just a package sitting on the doorstep, with a note on top: "To Gracie From Viktor."

Turning to look, I saw five women in wedding dresses striding toward us. My groom Fred went pale like he'd seen a ghost — and he clearly knew each one of them.

They came right up to us, and one of them, with this smirk on her face, said, "I'm Margaret. Fred here knows me very well." She shot him a wink, and the silence in the room got real loud, real fast. 😳👇

I FELL ASLEEP IN THE BACK SEAT OF A TAXI ON CHRISTMAS EVE — WHEN I WOKE UP, I WAS IN THE GARAGE OF A STRANGE HOUSE

I left the hospital after my shift as a nurse, totally wiped out. My boyfriend had called earlier to say he'd already ordered a cab for me and was waiting at home to celebrate Christmas.

A yellow cab pulled up, and the driver gave me a friendly "Megan?" I nodded, barely able to keep my eyes open after two straight night shifts, and climbed in. The second I sat down, I fell asleep.

When I opened my eyes, it was pitch black. I was still in the back seat, but the driver was gone, and the car was parked in some dark garage. My heart started racing as I reached for my phone, but it wasn't in my bag.

I got out of the car and started feeling my way around in the dark, searching for anything in that pitch black room. Just then, I heard a door creak open.

I SUSPECTED A "LOVING" COUPLE LOCKED THEMSELVES IN THE FITTING ROOM NEXT TO ME, BUT WHEN I HEARD THE WOMAN'S VOICE, I COULDN'T HELP BUT INTERVENE

So, just a regular day off for me. Dropped the kids at school, sent my husband off to work, and headed to the mall to pick up some winter clothes for me and the kids.

First stop was my in-laws' store. I shop there pretty often, and when I got to the mall entrance, I ran into my FIL, so we walked over together. He helped me find some stuff in my size, and I went to try it on in the fitting room.

Suddenly, I started hearing kissing sounds coming from the fitting room next to me. "Oh, young people these days…" I thought. But then, a woman's voice said, "I LOVE YOU!" loud and clear. And I knew that voice right away—IT WAS MY MIL!

I was completely stunned! I stepped out of my fitting room and opened their door, ready to confront her. But I NEARLY SWALLOWED MY TONGUE when I saw who she was in there with! ⬇️

It all started when I was in my university library. Dad called, sounding super urgent, and told me to come home right away. At home, I saw my stepmom, Linda, and her son, Jacob. He'd just blown through all the money Dad gave him to start a business in Hawaii. Jacob is 35 but acts like he's still in his 20s, always hanging out with friends and chasing some new scheme that always fails. I'm 18 now, but I've always been more responsible.

So, with everyone seated, Dad dropped the bombshell. Jacob was going to stay with us, and since his old room was now Linda's office, he'd take mine. I was SPEECHLESS. Where was I supposed to go? Dad told me to stay on campus like it was no big deal, but I couldn't afford that. I was working part-time just to save up for the next semester. He brushed me off, saying I'd figure it out. Jacob needed a place now.

Fighting back tears, I packed my things. No one helped. Jacob even smirked and wished me luck as I left.

JUST A MONTH AFTER MY MOM’S DEATH, DAD BROUGHT A YOUNG MISTRESS INTO OUR HOME FOR CHRISTMAS

We buried my mom just a month ago, and since then, my dad hasn’t shown any sadness. He’s been cheerful, like nothing even happened.

Then, out of nowhere, he tells us he has a new woman. He’s "still young" and wants a second family. I was in shock. But it gets worse.

He brings her to Christmas dinner. She’s MY AGE, maybe even younger. Then he says, “This is your new MOM! Hope you’ve got a good present for her under the tree.”

I wasn’t going to let this slide. I DID prepare a gift. But the second she opened it, she screamed, ran out barefoot in the snow, and forgot her coat. It was NOT what she expected. ⬇️
