COMING HOME, I FOUND THIS NOTE WITH THE REMOTE CONTROL – TURNS OUT MY WHOLE LIFE WAS A LIE
My dad was always my hero. He was the rock, the steady force behind our family. I remember him so vividly, as he was always there for us. But when I was 14, he went on a business trip, and a few days later, my mom sat me down, her eyes full of tears, and told me, "Your dad… he's gone." My world shattered.
Years later, I was married with a son, and we'd just returned from vacation. But when we got home, something was wrong. My mom wasn't there. All I found was a note on the couch.
