It’s ABFE. ✊🏾
Our story began in 1971 when a small group of Black foundation executives refused to accept the absence of Black voices in philanthropy. They took action then, and for 53 years, ABFE has been the soul of philanthropy, and we’re still here, fighting for Black communities and pushing for systemic change.
This anniversary, we’re asking for your support. Donate $53 to honor our 53 years of progress and help us continue shaping the future of philanthropy.
Join us. Together, we can build a more equitable tomorrow.

“Relationships are the revolution!” 👏 ABFE’s commitment to strengthening funder collaboratives underscores our dedication to enhancing resources for local Black-led organizations and amplifying their impact.
This mission aligns with our peer community networks, like the Umoja Circle—ABFE’s funder network of Black foundation CEOs focused on tackling social and economic inequities. Get involved with the Umoja Circle and support our shared mission for meaningful and lasting progress.
