MY HUSBAND DIDN'T SAVE ME FOOD FOR DINNER WHILE I FEED OUR NEWBORN SON - I TAUGHT HIM A PERFECT LESSON.
I'm literally still crying... I gave birth five weeks ago, and my husband asked his mother for help. But instead, she's been practically living in our house ever since, inviting other people over and making a mess. All while I juggle feeding, diaper changes, cleaning, and barely sleeping.
But last night was a wrap. I'm in the room feeding my son while my husband and his mother watch tv. Once I'm done, I go downstairs and see everything messy and the fridge is empty. I ask for dinner and my mother-in-law casually says, "Well, you didn't show up, so we assumed you weren't hungry." And then my husband says with disdain, "Clean up the dishes we left. You don't do anything in this house anyway."
I was DEVASTATED. I was exhausted and alone, and now this - everything hit me like a ton of bricks. But then I had a brilliant idea. Came back to the bedroom and called ⬇️‪

My husband has been going on vacation with his family to the islands FOR A WEEK EVERY YEAR for the past 12 years. He never took me or our kids with him. MY HUSBAND WENT ON A BUSINESS TRIP RIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS—ON CHRISTMAS EVE, I FOUND OUT HE LIED AND WAS IN OUR CITY
So, two days before Christmas, my husband tells me that his boss called him for an urgent business trip to another city for a few days. Of course, I couldn’t argue—it’s his job, after all.
Fast forward to Christmas Eve. He calls to wish me a Merry Christmas. I wish him back and try to chat, but he suddenly cuts me off, yelling, “I can’t talk! I have to go now!” Go where? Late at night on Christmas Eve? Weird, right?
Then it hits me—BINGO! I remember I left my fitness tracker in his car a few days ago. I open the app on my phone, and guess what I see? HIS CAR IS PARKED AT A HOTEL RIGHT HERE IN OUR CITY!
Without thinking twice, I jump into my car and head straight to that hotel. And there it is, his car sitting in the parking lot!
I burst into the hotel and approached the reception desk ⬇️

I haven’t seen my parents in nine years, and they never reached out after I stopped trying at 12. Meanwhile, I found my passion in IT, started freelancing, and now, at 22, I earn more than both of them combined.
A few months ago, my sister’s sports career ended after a serious accident, and suddenly, my bio parents wanted to reconnect. At Christmas Eve mass, they cornered me.
“Melody!” my mother said with a forced smile. “It’s been so long!”
I backed away. “Sorry, do I know you?”
My father’s face turned red. “What kind of tone is that?! You are aware of WHO WE ARE."
