SEASON 3 - HERE WE GO!!
After recording and producing well over 200 episodes of my podcast Dear Constance, I took a three month hiatus. Today, I am dipping my toes in the water with Season 3. Episodes will drop once a week (on Wednesday). I hope you'll consider tuning in....they're usually 10 min or under.

In 2015, I was targeted by a Facebook ad before I knew that was a thing. The invitation was to attend Camp GLP in upstate NY, an adult summer camp for entrepreneurs and makers created
by of Good Life Project. (if you don't know his work, he is a NYT bestselling author, speaker and so much more....check him out !)

Attending camp was the first of many times that I opted to listen to my intuition, follow the curiosity crumb and to go WAY outside of my comfort zone. The very first person I met at camp
was . She was on camp staff, leading creative writing workshops. (I knew not one of the hundreds of fellow campers, btw). Little did I know then how much our friendship would come to mean to me.

Today’s episode of Dear Constance is a full circle moment. Cynthia had the fun idea to interview about my recent 6-month sojourn. Having written a book herself about coming home from a big
trip (‘The Graceful Return’ available on Amazon), Cynthia knows a thing or two about how difficult it can be to metabolize and articulate the odd and intense feelings from an experience

In case you missed it, Lenny Kravitz was named icon of the year at The People’s Choice Awards. In his acceptance speak, he said “An icon is someone who teaches others to believe in themselves and their direction, whatever that direction is.”

Believing in yourself is a process and none of us gets to escape self-doubt. Self-doubt is universal. But there is a distinction to be made between doubting yourself and doubting your work. They are very different. In fact, doubting ones’ work can serve as a catalyst to reach for excellence.

We may or may not be able to teach others to believe in themselves, but in daring to believe in our own work - maybe, just maybe - we can teach people to dare to believe in their own.

It will take time to metabolize the richness of my nearly 6-month journey away from home. What I know for sure is that the single most important part of my story lies in the actual decision to go – to listen to the nudge to allow myself to wander without a predetermined scope or objective. "Not all those who wander are lost."

The idea of being immersed in a project that is big - one of those legacy-making endeavors- is something which has always intrigued me. I envy people who operate with a mission, who are taking their moonshot. But the more I think about it, moonshots come in many forms.
