As we gather to celebrate this Christmas/New Year's, we hold a special request in our hearts, to bring our dear friend Kevin Bruno home.

Please join us in supporting this mission by sharing this message:

Dear Beloved Community - please share my wrongful conviction story on your platform and network's. The purpose and goal for this video appeal project is to attract principled lawyers, investigator's and responsible journalist's to help me expose the misconduct, corruption and inconsistencies in my Wrongful conviction case. I need your help to amplify my story, so that I may clear my name and get the justice that I deserve. This is a 6 week campaign, and I hate to ask you to do this, because I know people are busy these days, but I need you to share, and repost continually throughout. Thank you, and Jazak Allah!

BYE BYE BIBI & HAMAS!

This has been a heartbreaking Hanukkah. The festival of lights has been obscured by the barbaric attack on Israelis by Hamas on Oct. 7, followed by Israel’s invasion of Gaza that has killed thousands of innocent Palestinian men, women, and children. A few things are clear even amidst the fog of war, Hamas and Netanyahu’s government have got to go. The extremists in both camps are sustained by this war. They feed each other’s blood lust. The key to breaking the cycle of violence is understanding that Jewish security and self-determination are linked to Palestinian security and self-determination. As difficult as a 2 state solution seems, without hope for a better future, there is only more war, destruction, and death.

At the same time, the war has unleashed a wave of Islamophobia and Anti- Semitism around the world. I have received numerous requests to re-release the film I did on the upsurge of Anti-Semitism in the wake of 9/11, “Protocols of Zion.”

Norman Lear’s Legacy Lives On! 🕊️🤍

I met Norman after our film SLAM won Sundance in 1998. I came to LA and made the victory laps at all the agencies. One of the agents asked me “Why do you want to meet Norman Lear? He’s not making anything anymore.” I told him “It’s not about making a deal, it’s about making history.”

We met and hit it off. A few years later we were working together on a documentary on the 2004 election with Andre 3000. We interviewed the State Senator from Illinois, Barack Obama, at his hotel the afternoon before he gave his famous keynote speech at the Democratic convention in Boston. Later that evening in a funky bar in Roxbury, we watched Obama’s speech together. At one point Andre turned from Norman to the drunk seated near him and pointed at the large tv screen, “That guy Obama could be the first black President.”

The next day was brutally hot. At one point we were all running to get through security and Norman sprinted ahead of the crew. It was almost 100 degrees and the fatigued cameraman turned to me and said, “What’s with Norman? He’s in his 80’s and he’s outrunning all of us in this heat. He must be superhuman.”

He was all too human but also a real superhero.

He made history, changing television forever. He also worked tirelessly to make this country and the world better. His legacy lives on!

RIP NORMAN,
Marc

“Robert Downey Jr. is insufferable in this movie but it still manages to be one of the most beautiful documentaries I’ve ever seen. There are so many surprise cameos from 90s celebrities and the focal length is always really wide so you get all this amazing imagery on gorgeous film stock.” – John Wilson ()

It’s 1992 in America, and George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton are tussling for the soul of the country. Amid the partisan mayhem, a young Robert Downey Jr. hits the road for a freewheeling cross-country journey that takes him to both the Democratic and Republican National Conventions in a quest to make sense of it all. Featuring interviews with everyone from Spike Lee to Jerry Falwell, this eccentrically funny documentary offers a satirically skewed, Gen X perspective on the sociopolitical climate of the early 1990s.
