Absolutely speechless.
Imagine someone touching your body without your consent after you just finished a 36 hour shift of helping people getting healthy.
Imagine someone ripping your clothes off of your body when your body is tired, your brain is drained.
Imagine the gut wrenching fear that set in her heart when her strength was overpowered.
Can you imagine someone forcing himself on you? Getting pleasure out of it? Getting pleasure from your pain, helplessness?
Her legs were found in an 90° angle.
The pelvis is bones are made of the strongest joints in the body. A force between 2,000 and 10,000 newtons is required to disrupt an adult pelvic ring.
Imagine the pain of physically feeling your pelvis being pulled apart until the joints are detached.
113 bites throughout her body.
Can you imagine feeling a set of teeth piercing through your skin not once or twice or 10 times or 25 times of 50 times but 113 times?
Imagine the struggle in which her glasses broke into pieces and punctured her eyes.
Imagine someone strangling your throat with all their strength until your eyes bleed. Can you imagine the air getting knocked out of your lungs? Or your eyes getting blurred? Or hearing ringing? Can you imagine the pain? Or your heart thumping against your chest? No?
Dr Moumita Debnath felt every single of these terrors. She did just had one perpetrator, she had several.
She struggled for her life while watching her female colleague holding her legs down.
There’s no value of human life in this world anymore. The dedication, the hard work, the pain it took her to become such an established doctor - all vaporized into thin air.
I have completely utterly and absolutely lost my faith in humanity and I’d prefer death over the mere possiblity of something heinous like this happening to me.
