🌟 Adaptive vs. Responsive Design: What's the Difference? 🌟

Are you curious about how websites look great on both your phone and your computer? 🤔 It all comes down to two important design types:

👉 Adaptive and Responsive Design

But what do these terms mean, and how do they affect your online experience? ✨

🔍 Adaptive Design: Imagine a website that changes its layout specifically for your device, whether it's a phone, tablet, or computer. Adaptive design creates a custom look for each type of device to give you the best experience possible.

🔍 Responsive Design: Think of this as a one-size-fits-all approach. A responsive website automatically adjusts its layout to fit any screen size, making sure everything looks good no matter what device you're using.

🙆🏽 I hate getting wrong directions. I know I'm not the only one.

Driving for too long, for example, is tiring & highly annoying. 🚙

📢 The same applies to .

And I am talking about websites, emails, reports, at the least.

You see, even though users have clicked on a link, they might not know where they are headed. In fact, many of them will get frustrated with your website's navigation or the email signature banner, if it doesn't lead them in the right direction.

💡In good UX (user experience):

➡️ Keep your navigation in good structure
➡️ Run a broken-link checker
➡️ Customize a healthy "404 page not found" page

Clean it up.✔️

I think healthcare is going to show major value in the metaverse.🆗

Why❓

➡️ Augmented reality will be used for training surgeons to do hands-on surgeries with robots before the robot is even available.

➡️ Virtual reality will be used as therapy, which allows a shorter learning curve because of its "real-time" feedback, and augmented/virtual reality will help us optimize faster.

I'm the person who has to present digital change.⚡️

📆 Daily.

I change people's ways of doing things at work. I get a lot of resistance. But I also get embrace. One is like hugging Baby Yoda, the other a cactus🌵.

When people are asked to change the way they work, there is an initial reaction💥that takes place. The behavioral changes that take place are called "change blindness."

🎯People will resist change if they don't understand it or SEE how it will help them. If change is coming down from above them without any explanation, they will push back against it.

How do you cure Digital "Change Blindness"❓

Let your left ✋🏽know, what your right one is doing.

If your processes are broken, implementing on top of a mess can augment the problem.

💡So here is a suggestion. Do this RIGHT NOW.⏰

➡️Prepare and deliver your automation expectations to the team before calling your vendors for demonstrations. This can only intimidate people who already resist to change.

👇🏽Then, make sure you follow these steps:

1. Provide a clear path for digital advancement.
2. Give them software training related to their processes.
3. Make sure automation does not remove their jobs.
4. Create an environment where automation is respected.
5. Get on the same page with clear practices.

📢 If these things are done well, your team will be happier and automation will be more successful, and will set the tone for a successful deployment.

Whenever I present the idea of using AI to predict user experience, some people would reply with "why bother?". 🙋🏽

Well, why not? 👇🏾

If we can utilize AI to know user behavior and user preferences, then we should.🆗

Right?

➡️ By next year, it is estimated that there will be over 46+ billion devices connected to the internet. Simply put, those who embrace AI are capable of predicting user experience and other outcomes with far greater accuracy than those who do not. In fact, a study by Forrester found that companies who use AI are 58% more likely to achieve profitable .

✋🏽Can you imagine meeting someone for the first time and all of the sudden, you start to share ALL the details of your life?

🗣 You mention everything from what you do for a living, to the problems you're having with your partner, and then some. It can be overwhelming for the other person and it probably won't lead to a very good .

💁🏻Now imagine that instead of talking to this person, you just listened to them. You took in what they had to say without adding your two cents.

It's the same thing with web design. When you bombard users with busy , it's like you're talking nonstop and they can't get a word in edgewise. Not only is it tiring for the user, but it also doesn't help engagement. In fact, when you present busy content to users, you lose more activity.

But how do you listen through your webpage?

Call to Actions.📲

That's why minimalist web design is better than busy content. With less on the screen, users are able to focus on what's important:

➡️Your Message

And when they're not distracted by all the bells and whistles, they're more likely to engage with YOUR content.🆗

A home page does not need to cover every single thing you can offer to your user. In fact, most user testing shows that a cluttered layout mitigates user experience, and it actually encourages people to leave the site or navigate away from an intended page.

That's how you'll see the biggest return on your design.✔️

I have devoted my professional life to Content Management Services.⏰

And because my passion is visibly clear, I get the question asked:

"Where does your automation passion come from❓"

My answer is always the same:

➡️The most important part of automation is the result.

In other words, automation should be focused on improving efficiency and effectiveness. It should help us do more with less, both in terms of time and resources.

Use-case: Content Management

By automating the process of content creation, , and distribution, businesses can save time and money while still delivering high-quality content to their customers.

📊In the "10 Tips for Choosing the Right Domain Name" guide, we recommended .com's as the primary domain of target. But eventually, you might need to expand your domain portfolio if you want to succeed.

Step #9 in the Guide: Own Alternative TLD's 🎯

➡️ For example, "populationsource .com" may be the perfect domain for a new show's website - but sooner or later they will need more than just .com in order to stay competitive (e.g., populationsourcenyc .com).

The best part about these alternative domain extensions is that many of them are still relatively cheap to register 🆗- so it's a great way to expand your domain portfolio without breaking the bank.

Can I bring an Alpaca 🐑 during a video conferencing call? 📹

Maybe. But sometimes you have to be a little animated.

📚 No. Making your video conferencing or Zoom call "more animated" does not mean placing a pendulum behind you, moving at all times, or a green screen.

Video conferencing is a powerful tool for communicating with many people at the same time during an event or conference. It is one of the most important digital tools we used through a pandemic. Also, conferencing is also one of the most boring experiences out there (potentially).

So how do we make video conferencing more animated❓

How do we create an environment where people's attention is not hijacked by their mobile device, cat, or the gold medal event in the Olympics❓

Let's get something out there. Right away.🆗

The steps required to make a high-quality and animated experience in a video conferencing call require equipment. At least a camera (for real), a connectivity mechanism (phone or laptop), and two lights - preferably of different colors. Finally, you will need a minimal level document/image editor apps such as PowerPoint, Word, or Illustrator.

The video conferencing work experience includes:

➡️Proper video and lighting
➡️Proper sound (and sometimes silence)
➡️Captivating content

The list above looks basic for video conferencing - yet there is a lot more to video conferencing than just connecting video (and audio) signals. It's how you show your content, what you do with that content, and how well you engage in conversation through your personality.

The center is no longer in the center.🎯

🔁 The center is everywhere.

In the world today most services use this centralized way of organizing and making decisions. This means there is usually one central place where all the information and data about the shared service lives and everyone who wants to access or contribute to it has to do so through this one central point.

Centralized systems tend to be easier and faster for users at first glance; however, decentralization can also provide some detriments. Like bureaucratic leadership, and stomped .

➡️ Metaverse is the of the internet.

Metaverse has no central point for data storage or management, instead, users have their own information stored in a public blockchain with private information stored in an off-chain ID system.

➡️ Cryptocurrency decentralizes money for peer-to-peer transactions without a bank or 3rd-party.

A transaction can be confirmed and transferred from one account directly to another within minutes, rather than hours if it goes through a bank or other payment processing service.

The center is no longer in the center. 🆗

The center is everywhere.🌎
